My Surprise Novels & Stories

Nothing, absolutely nothing at this point in my life, can come to me as a surprise. ~~~~ I walk into my office and everyone immediately stops whatever it is they were up to, to stare at me and they went on with it for what felt like forever. Some look surprised and happy to see me and by some, I meant very few actually and the rest of them look irritated and annoyed but I'm not surprised, they never liked me anyway. I look around trying to find Fabian or Martha but I'm caught off guard when Martha squeals and jumps at me unexpectedly and if she wasn't so small, I'd have probably collided with the floor from the impact but fortunately that didn't happen.

I did like surprises. "Yes, that would be wonderful."

I announced taking all of them by surprise. "You're what?"

she said reason for my surprise. "w-what?" I asked and lowered my palm. ~~~~~

The unexpected revelation had sent shock waves through my entire being. I shouldn't be all worked out simply because of a surprise so it's best I relax my nerves. Breath in Breath out In and out In and out. I didn't have the time to access my surroundings, all my attention was focused on the surprise in front of me. I couldn't help it, quick tears began to flow down to my face and my mouth was left agape. This was indeed a surprise, a heartwarming surprise.
