The Bet

The Bet

She had poisoned herself and it was not only the alcohol's fault, but also the constant stress and exhaustion that had been accumulating for a long time. As she passed by the bookshelves, she decided to take some book to read. She was delighted with Matthew's collection. There were all the books written by Clive Cussler, one of her favourite writers, as well as a lot of books by Michael Crichton and Duncan Falconer. What surprised her more was to see all of John Grishams' novels.

I'm really enjoying the story of Jo and her journey, the novel is so realistic and easy to relate to. I haven't had such a good read in a while, definitely looking forward to reading more on Jo's journey.

A Writer's Contract: Twisted Inspiration

He wasn't really against reading mysteries but the fact that they tend to become repetitions and that the plot is always the same. But it was different for Iori's books. The book was simply interesting, the characters were complex and had a depth that he could sense coming from her, her plot had essence and originality that he rarely sees in today's novels, and there was this darkness lurking in the edges of the story. A twisted sense of humanity represented the culprit and his desires and motives. Overall, Jun liked her work, and he found himself respecting her as a fellow writer. If someone like her was to write a book with him, he had a feeling that they would create a masterpiece. And wi

The Mysterious Affair

The Mysterious Affair

Yeah, he'd learned to practice patience, but dealing with the police while they questioned Betty had just about driven him to the edge of reason. He opened the car door for her, holding her elbow as she climbed in. Daylight had waned, and the parking garage was dimly lit, the sound of other hospital visitors echoing through the cement structures. Betty listened for other things. Furtive footballs on the pavement. The click of a gun safety being released. The slide of fabric or the soft huff is a breath. Someone had tried to kill Dan just a few weeks ago, and there was no reason to believe that person would be content to let him live. The road went quiet as he stepped around the car. The soun

Owens voice breaks the silence that they had fallen into and she turns to face him. “See for yourself.” She gestures behind him at the notebook and typewriter on the desk. “I am writing a thriller, mystery, crime book. I want to try my hand at being a writer like Agitha Christie or Ruth Rendell. Mostly Agitha Christie. My Pops and Grams used to read her books aloud to each other each night after dinner. I would lay on the couch and listen, falling in love with them just as much. Pops and I use to try to one up the other by guessing the killer first. But it was almost always Gram that was right.” Owen chuckles, as he looks over the idea and rough book concept that she scribbled down. “So, you

“Phew, salamat. Katulad ko lang siya. Tinatakot ako ng mga misteryo. Nagsusulat ka ba tungkol sa mga pagpatay at mga bagay na katulad nito?" Tumango si Tyler. “Minsan. Ngunit hindi palagi. Thank you to everyone for joining this journey. Thank you for reading till the end. I am going to miss this book. 😥😭😭 I need a feedback from you as a reader If you accept or not, you love mystery, that's why you reached here. I am glad sometimes you feel confused because I write deliberately to make it look confused. So my mission was successful. If I leave anything behind without revealing, then tell me. I will make it clear. I hope everything got cleared.
