Caitlyn’s POV The Moonborn Ruins were not what I expected. I had imagined crumbling stone walls, vines reclaiming ancient structures, a place long forgotten by time. But what lay before me was something else entirely. The ruins still stood, eerily intact, their stone foundations gleaming under the silver moonlight. The air hummed with power, charged with something ancient and restless, as if the past itself had been preserved here, waiting for someone to unravel its secrets.

Before entering the school, I heard a few things about this mysterious place situated on the mountainous side of Mystic Heights, a city in the heart of London. Mystic Academy, as it was known, was a mixed school primarily for kids with some uniqueness from wealthy homes. The requirements to get in seemed unattainable for mere humans, as I learned. It had a reputation as a school for "freaks," and the general belief was that only freaks would gain admission. Slowly, I opened my eyes– city lights welcomed my sight as the stars glow above the sky. "I didn't know there such a place like this" I heard him mumbled as I feel his presence beside me. I also did not know until we found this place. I smiled bitterly and looked around. It seems like every time we both have free time we hang out here at this mountain where we see the whole city. Even junk foods and drinks are okay as long as the two of us are together. I walked to our often place and then sat down. I want to laugh because it’s been two years, I went here again.

"We are trying to be quiet here. Are you trying to give away our position to monsters that may be roaming around these parts?" Arkad looks at her, then looks at the ground feeling guilty of his actions. "No ma'am." Nia let's out a sigh. "Try to be quieter. We dont want to run into unnecessary trouble before we get there." It doesn't take too much longer to reach their destination. The ruins they come upon appear to be the remnants of an old city. Only the foundations of the once-great buildings of the city remain. However, there does appear to be one building that is mostly intact. Upon further inspection inside, there seems to be a staircase leading into the basement.

"Kai, Alex, Elysia! You need to come quickly. We've found something in the old ruins." The trio exchanged glances before hurrying after the scout, their curiosity piqued. The scout led them through the forest to a clearing where several clan members were gathered around a partially unearthed stone structure. The ruins were ancient, their surfaces covered in intricate carvings and glyphs that seemed to pulse with a faint, otherworldly energy. "We were exploring the perimeter when we stumbled upon this," the scout explained. "It looks like some kind of temple or shrine." She was rummaging for something on her desk until she showed us a piece of paper. "What's that?" I asked. "It's a map. I know it doesn't look that much but it can still help us find our way to Newhallow Mountain, where Taewe, the Village of Mystic is located." I've heard about this village. What Nereza said was true, Taewe is known as the Village of Mystic. The people who live there are mostly enchanted beings like elves and witches. But not all lands in Aldemore have a Mystic Village. I have heard that only five territories are lucky enough to have a village like Taewe.

The path stretched ahead, flanked by wildflowers that seemed to shimmer under the pale moonlight. I knew this place. The familiarity was both comforting and suffocating. The ruins loomed in the distance, their jagged edges outlined against the starry sky. My steps quickened, an inexplicable urgency driving me forward. The twin pillars at the entrance stood like silent sentinels, their ancient carvings glowing faintly in the moonlight. "Why am I here?" I whispered, my voice swallowed by the stillness. The answer came not in words but in the pull of the ruins. They called to me, a siren song I couldn’t resist.

Then, I landed on solid ground with a thud, the impact reverberating through my body. I looked up, and the mist began to clear, revealing the entrance to an ancient ruin. My breath caught in my throat. The ruins were unlike anything I had ever seen. They were carved into the cliffside, the stone weathered and cracked with age, yet still standing strong. The walls were covered in intricate carvings, depicting scenes of wolves under the moon, their forms shifting and merging with the shadows. “This is the Moon Wolf’s trial grounds,” Athena whispered in my mind. “Here, you will find the power you need.”
