The Accused Mate

The Accused Mate

"Dorian? Is that who you mean?" The raven bobbed its head in what looked like a nod. "He makes magic with the witch. Drawing you to him. Sacrifice under blood moon." Amara's stomach turned to ice. The dreams she'd had last night—of fire and pain and someone calling her name—hadn't been just dreams. "How do you know this?" she asked. The bird turned its head at an impossible angle. "I see much from above. The Mother watches too. She comes from the east. The brother leads her army."

Beneath The Sea

Beneath The Sea

While the others landed on the ground. “The bird on your shoulder is a Tigmamanukan bird,” Amansinaya explained. I looked at the bird, with its shining eyes that have the same shade from the green particles glowing from its black wings. Its slate blue body perfectly fits the color of its wings. I looked at the other birds on the ground; they were now playing with Orlene. “It is the same species of bird that was ordered by Bathala to crack the bamboo, where Malakas and Maganda could be found.” She continued. I have some knowledge about that myth, but I didn’t know that it would exist in this world!

The Mage's Heart

The Mage's Heart

he snarled suddenly, and the circling birds screeched as they caught alight, burning with such ferocity that their feathers turned to ash, and all that remained was smoke and the slow fall of black dust. “Poor birds,” I sighed. He laughed. “Not real birds, Siorin,” he told me. “Spell constructs or familiars.” “That’s how you always know when they are there,” I realised. “You can feel the magic.” “Yes,” he caught me against him and kissed me, his lips flavoured by the smooth, mineral taste of the water and cool to the touch, briefly reminding me of the merman I had left behind in the ocean before they heated. His tongue sought mine and stroked it.

A brilliant adult fairy tale! Dark romance, fairies, sirens, mages, dragons, dark elves, mermaids, trolls, imps, spells, and quests. I loved it, an action packed adventure from beginning to end. Folk lore and fae stories truly came alive, I fell in love with the characters and got lost in the story.

And did it really possess such gifts, immune to small science aka witchcraft and magic, yet too powerful to all creatures of the world? The firebird quickly flashed into my mind. I found myself linking it to the story, creating something so vivid in my mind. The firebird held so much power I could almost feel it with the mere thought of it. But in the story, the Phoenix was a human, not a bird. And that's when I realized I was mad. Because heck, I don't even think there's a bird that burns. I chuckled to myself because it was crazy. But then the golden phoenix, what had happened after Lady Barga died? Was the boy captured by Lilith? Did she kill him?

The Duke's Unwanted Wife

The Duke's Unwanted Wife

“Why indeed? It’s because something of ours is here and we have come to retrieve it. I believe it is in the hands of a mortal known as Natalia Adamantine.” “Only a fool will steal from the gods and I have not known myself to be a fool. What is it that I have stolen from you?” “The divine bird, the lost one, is in your care. It belongs to me and I want it back.” “Divine…bird?” Everyone, including the one being accused, was confused. Not many had heard of the Divine Bird but even the ones who knew what they were knew that they were nothing but a legend. But so was Nataroth and Natalia knew better. She soon realized what they were talking about.

Marked by fate

The detail in those feathers is exquisite, every line sharp and sure. I glance back at the walls. Most of the animals she has up are wolves, which makes sense, I guess. But none of them appeal to me. Nothing I want inked into my skin permanently. I do another slow circuit of the room, scanning for anything I might have missed, but it is the same. The only piece that keeps catching my eye is the bird. Sage must notice, because from my spot by the far wall she says, “It’s a phoenix. The phoenix dies and is reborn from the ashes. It symbolises rebirth, strength and transformation.”

The Secret Moonbird, Hellblades Series Part 2 of 3

The Secret Moonbird, Hellblades Series Part 2 of 3

I coughed, setting the cup aside as Pelin bounced in place, clutching a thick, old book I hadn’t seen before. “Pelin—what—” “Moonbirds!” she practically yelled. “They’re here! In ancient times, there were actual moonbirds!” I stood up so quickly the world tilted. She flipped the book toward me, pointing at the page. “It says they were also called Heaven’s Birds because their eyes were blue and their feathers pure white.” My breath caught painfully in my chest. I grabbed her and hugged her hard, laughing and crying at the same time as she twirled us clumsily across the rug as sunlight poured through the window.

Rebirth: The Peacock Princess Gave Birth to a Phoenix

Rebirth: The Peacock Princess Gave Birth to a Phoenix

At the moment it split, a golden bird emerged with a sharp, melodious cry. “It’s a Phoenix! This is the true Phoenix!” Ignis exclaimed with excitement. His words caught everyone’s attention. As the Phoenix was the king of birds, all must bow before it. Except for Ignis, Lucian, and myself, everyone else knelt in unison, chanting, “Welcome, Your Majesty!” The cheers grew louder and more enthusiastic. My little Phoenix fluttered around the room for a few moments before gently landing in front of me. When it settled into my arms, it transformed into a human-shaped infant. Feeling my warmth, it yawned and fell into a deep sleep.

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

Plenty of blood moths were wiped out by this mythical bird, and its approach was much more efficient than the Aretuza Magic used by Magus. “What… What the hell is that? How is it so powerful?” “Is that a Phoenix? The Phoenix from the mythical legend?” Everyone’s gaze trailed the mythical bird in the air as it frantically chased after the blood moths in the air and burned them into ashes. After a while, the blood moth crisis in the manor seemed to be completely resolved. Everyone stared at the mythical bird in surprise. After careful observation, they found that the phoenix was not exactly a real bird; it was materialized by some kind of energy.

Love all the characters especially ML and FL. True love bonding. Tyr never sets his eyes on other women tho surrounded by them n possesses s/natural powers. Unlike some amazingSIL stories abandoned the wife for hundreds of chaps, he always keeps in touch wt his wife. Lots to learn from this story.
