Morningstar

Morningstar

Lowena walked back with Caspian, the rain easing til the sun came out to play. "It's amazing how you can do that," she admired. "It is mother nature; us fairies are bound to her in one way or another. Many are known to you as mythical creatures, such as the phoenix, griffins, and sirens. You may have seen them at the celebration last night," he explained. Lowena's cheeks blushed, and she confirmed, "There were these two women I first met; they looked almost like bats."

Akyran's Folly

Akyran's Folly

Pilgrims determined the way, instead, by the stone monoliths that marked the path, though even these were often swallowed by the forest. Water gathered in puddles on the ground, though the greenery was so thick, if there was mud from a recent rainfall, we were kept from it. Fairies with eyes like black berries, moss like clothing, and mud streaked limbs, watched us from the branches. A faun, her horns green-tinged and her hair netted with weeds, stood so still amongst the trees that at first, I had mistaken her for one. She tilted her head slightly as we passed close by her, as if considering whether to stay or run. “Did you see…” Akyran murmured.

Enchanting the Prince

Enchanting the Prince

Hera woofs at him. “See, she’s good.” He says, turning to the now clustered area around us. Aolis has told me of the fae creatures that live on their land. The little red-hair man must be a leprechaun, the twig looking girl must be a dryad, there are the sprites, of course, notable for their glowing skin making them look like large fire flies and then there are some fairies floating around too. At least I hope they are fairies, the good kind, not faeries the bad kind. Apparently, the only way to distinguish between them is how they spell fairy. Well, that and their behaviors. “Queen Anastasia is good.”

2nd story in the "next generation" of The Guardian series. This one takes a more fantasy twist but totally works. I was enthralled all the way to the epilogues which had me crying yet again. This author updates regularly & always concludes her stories. No worries about abandoned books with her.

Lucian's Undoing

Lucian's Undoing

“Azazel burns. I illuminate.” Dorian narrowed his eyes. “Who are you?” The figure that was Elias stood taller now, his aura radiating calm command. He turned his head, gold eyes glowing brighter. “I am Thal’rean. The first Faerian. Born from the purest starfire and gifted by the gods with power meant to balance the worlds.” “Thal’rean,” Dorian echoed, his voice low. “The one from the myth...” Kai blinked. “Wait—what myth?”

THE ALPHA KING'S CLAIM

THE ALPHA KING'S CLAIM

They already served their purpose well. “These creatures are not bugs, Your Majesty,” Nevannir said whilst standing up. “They are called ‘Filliyaen’ or Familiars in simple terms—energy spirits in the form of animals or insects that are rare in Ehnrelil. To find one is considered a blessing in the fae realm but to find one in Phanteon makes me confused.” “My thoughts exactly. I’m also confused,” I confessed, but smartly chose not to mention Serena’s connection with their presence. He didn’t need to know. “What are the purpose of this so-called Familiars, Nevannir, especially these special bugs?”

Love, love, love this book! I could not get enough of Aero and Serena's fiery love for each other. It just makes you want to keep on reading, wanting to know their next adventure into the realms. All came together very beautifully, every sub story tied up in a nice red bow with surprises!
Empress
Easily one of my fave fantasy reads. The character development of the ML is just *chef's kiss* The plot, the setting, the characters... Everything about this story pulled me right in. I'm really looking forward to reading Lord Hale's and the triplets' story! Keep up the good work!

Hush:The Secret of the Wind

Hush:The Secret of the Wind

Ni Faesta regretfully said. “What are the other mystical creatures doing? Can’t they aid in the fight?” Marco, the god of the sun appeared, attempting to help find solution in the problem of his neighboring continent. Ni Faesta waved her hand on the water surface and the scene changed. It was from the different towns of Llfhame. The other mystical creatures were still continuing resistance against the evil milieus. In the oceans, the sirens continuously defend the merefolks. In the forest the dwarves and the fairies struggles to protect their lands.

"That is the sum total of my knowledge." Scarlet nodded. "Fae are an ancient race that-if their claims to relation to Chaos and Aether are true-have evolved well beyond the human race. They have inherent magic or powers. Many are tied to natural elements. Earth, wind, fire, water, spirit. Out of this general classification, there are too many to name for specifics. Categories and classes of Fae are better discussed with Arasne." Scarlet looked at me as if trying to see if I'd understood her.

Her Fae Prince

Her Fae Prince

Torin almost lost control of his emotions several times as they tracked the horses that had carried his Fated away. They must have been trying to throw off their scent by using horses but thankfully Albwin could track anything. It was just slower than sniffing the air and saying— this way! It didn’t help that the damn vampires kept changing direction causing them to weave back and forth through the forest. It was dark, and there were these tiny biting bugs that plagued them drawing on Torin’s last nerve. Callum at one point laughed and asked if they had midges in the Fae realm. The answer was no and Torin was glad for it.

Zara cuts in before he can say anything more, "let's not scare the girl. She's only just become a part of this world." "Fine," he sighs as he says this as though not talking about it is a serious letdown for him. "Guess it's a good thing that dragons aren't found in the U.S. There are also Kitsune and Selkie. Then, there are witches, banshees, and vampires.” "Don't forget about the fae," Zara butts in, clearly excited. "Fae?" "Incubi, succubi, dwarfs, elves, gnomes, goblins, leprechaun, sprites, trolls, pixies, brownies," Zara ticks them off on her fingers excitedly.
