The Single Mom's Second Chance
As I pull open the heavy wooden door, I feel the warm air from inside gently caress my cold cheeks.
“Welcome to the palace spa hotel” a friendly girl behind the counters calls out. She has a warm smile, long blonde hair brushed back into a neat ponytail and a name tag that reads ‘Rachel’.
“I’m Rachel, are you staying with us today?”
“Yes” I reply, “the booking is under Alice Baker”. I must change my name back to my maiden name, I think to myself. Saying it out loud makes me feel ill, and I much prefer my maiden name anyway. Foster, Alice Foster.
