Oh, that! I shook my head, turning away. “He just lost his damn sister! I cannot. Not right this moment.” “You can and will. Call him. Text him. I don’t give a fuck but you better end that shit.” Fuck! “I will. Soon.” Of course I couldn't string Kieran along. I trembled at the mere idea of dealing him another blow right after the death of his beloved sister. A tear trickled down my face. “Do you actually love him?” He asked, anger rippling with each word.  I rubbed my temples. The stress of this damn mate bond would eat me alive. “Of course not. But circumstances…” “Circumstances being you are my fucking mate! Mine to claim. Mine to own. Mine to cherish. Mine to love. Mine to fucking obsess over. You, Gems, have always been my only addiction. An addiction I have no desire to kick. Ever.” I stared at him, hopeless. I had no defenses left to fight his magnetic attraction. Narrative: Awakening, I felt as though I was submerged in water. "Meow," I attempted to articulate, but to my surprise, a feline sound escaped my lips instead! What on earth had she done to me? Why had she bathed me? And now, what was to be done with her in her current state of undress? I found myself cursing under my breath as I took in the sight of her alluring, bare form. My head was spinning... The warmth was gradually spreading throughout my body as I gazed upon her nudity... A mere few moments with her and I was uncertain if I could restrain myself... This couldn't be my fault, could it? She was the one who initiated it. Her beautiful face held my gaze as she tightly shut her eyes. She was too stunning to resist, and I was merely a lustful vampire who was attracted to her. "Could you please touch me more?" she implored. What was this sensation? A fire was ignited within me, a burning desire to caress her. The way she yearned for my touch was irresistible. I was so engrossed in her bare, voluptuous form that I hadn't noticed my transformation back into my human shape. By the time I realized I was already kissing her, it was too late, and she didn't protest, even though her eyes were now open. I was positioned above her, my size dwarfing hers, as if I were a titan and she was merely a mortal woman beneath me. I leaned down to kiss her, my eyes drawn to her collarbone, "Please, more..." she pleaded, "Please, more..." "Are you certain, my dear? Once I begin, I may not be able to stop."

I didn't kill my asshole ex-boyfriend. I knew I might've said I would countless times in the text I sent before we broke up, and I wasn't the calmest person. But I really didn't kill him. I, however, am the number one and only suspect of his murder since to everyone else he was a sAiNt. But hey, let's not talk ill of the dead. The point is, I was stuck at the station being questioned about something I didn't do. And I thought it was the worst thing that could've possibly happened to me. I was sitting in City Hall, about to sign that damn mate bond certificate with Logan—Alpha of the Eastside Moonclaws—when his phone buzzed. One glance.
