Until a massive beam of white light bursts out from the distance, shooting from the recesses of the mountains and into the inky black sky. Everything returns to normal. The earth takes a shuddering breath, like a drowning man who just got saved. When I can see again, I catch sight of everyone standing still, staring at the light, which is spreading farther and farther, clearing up the dark clouds until the stars and the moon are seen. The light, the Arachnia said. I need the light. And this is it, I can tell. I can feel it.

“I am ready to fight! Do something!” She waits a few minutes as she also waiting for the cannibal eater's next attack. She closed her eyes, hoping for a miracle to happen. She can hear the monster growling but all she thinks right now is how to save herself or is this how she dies. The pearl creates glazing random white light lines from inside it as it is slowly expanding from small light that makes Hana and the cannibal fire eater glares at it. The light is gently fading as it was absorbed through Hana’s eyes and when it is done. Her eyes became pure white, shining beautifully, and when the light was gone, Hana’s eyes back to normal.

Her instincts hadn’t failed her yet, and judging by the fact that Tohya and Ren were both looking in several directions at once, they have felt it too. “It’s coming,” muttered Ren, and both Tohya and Yuri nodded. All three of them have one hand on their individual weapons…just in case. And all of a sudden, the lights went out completely, leaving them in pitch black darkness, and there were several murmurings from within the stands, as some employee of Sanada Fujiwara tried to calm the panicked crowd. “What the—?” Yuri heard Ren speaking from beside her, and she felt Tohya standing up from his seat. “The lights…went out?”

Once Peter disappears among the trees, she turns back to her mother's memorial, placing her palm against the cool stone one last time. "I wish you were here to guide me," she whispers. In the shadows of the forest, Peter leans against a massive oak, his heart pounding. He pulls out his phone, scrolling through the group chat Milton mentioned. His fingers tighten around the device as he reads message after message, each one more cruel than the last. His packmates are betting on Clover's exile or humiliation, treating her pain as entertainment.

Chapter 5 Freya That Morning A knock jars me awake. Sharp, rhythmic, too intentional to be Lilith. I blink against the morning light seeping through the curtains. The knocking comes again—faster this time. "Freya!" Nixon's voice was smooth and too awake for this hour. "We're going school shopping today. Let's go, sleeping beauty." Half-asleep, I stumble to the door, yanking it open without thinking. Wearing nothing but a tank top and underwear, and my hair is a total mess.

“You either learn from it, or you let it drown you. So maybe just… try not being a dickhead again.” I barked a short laugh. “Is that your great wisdom for tonight?” “Take it or leave it.” A flash of light pulsed at the edge of the corridor—soft, sudden, and unmistakably magical. The Northern Lights. Lira turned her face toward the glow. The light caught the golden undertones in her caramel skin, painting her in starlight and shadows. She looked like a warrior born from the dusk. Her grip on my hand tightened slightly. “Let’s go.”

Remi still stood in it. "Do you mind? I am trying to do a summoning here," I said. He narrowed his eyes at me. "Seriously, get out of the way." I flicked my palm at him to shoosh him along. He continued to stand there and stare. Damn it. I pulled on my power, or at least the power I had locked away beneath that tattoos on my skin. I pictured a ball of light. It formed in my hands. I shot it out at him as fast as I could and let it burst like a little light explosion. His shadows broke apart and disappeared, but the scowl he'd shot at me just before he did stuck in my mind.

V4 says as Girly gets close to him. " Aargh! Turn off that horrid light first!" " Then how am I going to mark the walls if I can't see?" V4 froze as his eyes darts around. " Crap." " * Snickers* Idiot." I snickered at him. V4 uses all his willpower to endure the holy light as Girly on his back. I get down on all fours and wait for Rookie to finish tieing off the fishing line or whatever. "Shin don't even think about leaving my side if I have to endure the holy light, so do you! And don't even think about abandoning Hikaru just to win the bet."

Instantly, Lanaya became radiant, and the light slowly spread and traveled through Jo’s body. Jo’s screams got louder and louder, heartbreaking and painful. Until finally they both exploded in a dazzling light for a split second. Nero blocked his eyes with his arm until the bright light disappeared. He blinked a few times, not understanding what he had just seen. And he didn’t understand even more when he saw Jo back to the way he used to be, unconscious. “It’s done?” Servant approached the three of them. “Yes,” answered Lanaya. She looked at Nero who was still standing transfixed watching the incident just now. “Come here.”

She stops when she hears one of the women toss in the straw. I grab Mary’s hand “How does it work?” Mary bites her lower lip “Hmm” then looks at me “You have to envision the lights and control them in your mind as if they were apart of yourself.” Envision the lights and control with my mind, sounds like some anime I’ve watched before. I wonder and look at Mary “Everyone uses lights. Is it possible without them?” Mary confused at my questions and hesitates. “I don’t think so?”
