Nathaniel Hawthorne Academy Novels & Stories

She had her in. Shipton Academy was located in the town of Sheffeld in Massachusetts bordering on the Washington National Forest. It was a large building that used to be a hotel with sprawling grounds and a lake. The rest of the town might as well be in another state. She had to be picked up by the groundskeeper in a car as no other vehicles would drive on the isolated road.

Professors directed everyone into neat rows according to their academic year. I quietly slipped into the back of the first-year group. Feeling safer there. Less noticeable, just exactly how I liked it. A tall man in a dark academic coat stepped onto the platform. Gray streaked his hair, but his sharp amber eyes suggested he could probably outrun half the students standing below him. "My name is Professor Hawthorne." His calm voice carried effortlessly across the courtyard. "Welcome to Alpha Academy." No applause followed; nobody dared. He slowly looked over the sea of young wolves standing before him.

"And the school is in Whispering Hollows." Creepy! Zeda wanted to shout. She felt like she was heading to a place for witches and ghosts. The school's name was eerie enough, but "Whispering Hollows" sent shivers down her spine. Dale drove for another two hours before Zeda finally saw a sign of the academy: a very tall, black fence stretching into the distance with a huge matching gate. She tried to see where the fence ended but gave up; it was simply too long. They had left the forest now and were driving on a clear road.

The room fell into a heavy, expectant silence. All eyes darted between each other, confusion etched into every face, before landing on Zara, who sat stunned, staring up at the man standing before her. Nathaniel Hawke. One of the most powerful private lawyers in New York. Co-partner of the renowned Blackthorne and Hawke law firm, and a three-time award-winning litigator. Even though they were just meeting for the first time, Nathaniel seemed to know exactly whom he had come to represent as he bent down and offered her a hand.

"That's delicious news, Gabe. I think we can have some fun with her.” My body trembled. I had no idea which academy Gabriel and Nathaniel attended. Father had never told me. So they were here at Bastorin Academy? Oh God. What was I supposed to do?

Professor Nathan Hale – Advanced Romantic Literature. I’d stared at it for a full minute, heart thudding in disbelief. No. It couldn’t be him. Nathan left years ago—after graduation, after our parents’ awkward marriage made us step-siblings and roommates in a house full of tension and late-night glances that lingered too long. But when he walked into the lecture hall, tall and effortlessly confident in that fitted navy shirt and charcoal slacks, I knew. It was him. Older. Broader. Sexier. Dangerous.

“A marriage” “A what??” I unconsciously yelled out unsure if I heard her right. I already felt sick at the thought of where this was going but what she said after immediately sent bile running up my throat. “You are gonna be married to Nathaniel Hawthorne, the former heir to the Alpha seat.” My brain immediately broke down. My hand started trembling slightly as I tried desperately to remember who Nathaniel Hawthorne was. Daphne, ever the crazy bitch decided to remind me. She laughed mockingly. “Nathaniel Hawthorne? Isn't that my crippled ex?" That was when it clicked and I remembered who he was.

The mothers could not help admiring the two love birds they were trying to bring close to each other talk. They were gushing all over them. At this time, the people sitting at other tables also came to say hello to Nathaniel. Nathaniel is the only son of the Franchise family. He has been outstanding since he was a child. When he was studying, he skipped two grades in elementary school, one grade in junior high school, and one grade in high school. Therefore, he finished college four years earlier than other people.

She tried to relax and clear her mind. Nathaniel pointed out certain buildings and told her their history along the way. She had to admit that it took her mind off the stone. She enjoyed the scenery as they drove into the countryside. Nathaniel had told her that Barnaby lived in the woods and had no neighbors for miles, so she wasn't surprised by the countryside they saw. She also wasn't surprised when they turned down a well-maintained dirt road.

Leo asked, his big eyes looking up at them under his neatly brushed hair. "We will be waiting right at the front gate the exact minute school ends," Julian promised, holding out his fist. Leo grinned and bumped his tiny fist against Julian's large one. --- The drive to the Academy was smooth and quiet. The school was located in one of the most beautiful, historic districts of the city, surrounded by towering stone walls and lush, ancient oak trees. It was the premier private academy in the state, a place where the city's most prominent families sent their children. For years, Elena had seen pictures of the school in magazines, never dreaming that her own son would walk through those grand ir
