I slowly took out the photo I had brought from the office, then pressed it against the glass so she could see it clearly.
It was the picture of us crying with joy the day she accepted my proposal. Back then, her eyes were full of tears, her smile bright and radiant, like the sun in spring.
We were once that happy.
"No…"
She stared at the photo and broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.
I left the photo on the table, then turned and walked away without hesitation. Behind me, her heart-wrenching cries echoed.
"Will, come back! Don't leave! No one has ever treated me better than you. Come back! You can't abandon me!"
