"Yes, thank you!" I said happily. "But, there's a condition." He said, holding up a finger. "If after training you for two weeks I don't see any improvement, I won't be training you anymore. I'll hand you over to Nate." My eyes widened in response. "You'll hand me over to Nate?" I asked.

No distance, no person can keep her from him for long. ...... Nate focused on his training. It’s training, accidents happen.” With that, the trainees take her away, and I’m left there standing with unsteady legs, feeling everyone’s gazes on me. I want to disappear. I feel nauseous. I feel like I shouldn’t be here.

Still, he did not stop and gave his all to perfectly perform the finishing swing. Those sweet words of release reverberated in his heart like the melodious voice of heaven forgiving a sinner of their eternal damnation. He stood shakingly as his body was literally bathed in his training shirt, sticking like a second skin to his body. His gait was unsteady and his mind blurry. From the side, the worried voice of Setsuna, his beast trainer, sounded almost like an afterthought. Finally, he felt his vision darken as he fell into the embrace of mother nature.

Nyx's POV I picked up my phone and stared at the message with furrowed brows. Narin had written that she had a project to do in school and would not be coming back until late in the evening. "At least she would make it before curfew. There is no cause for alarm, Narin can always take care of herself " I told myself and proceeded to prepare for my training with Narek.
