" Different questions stormed my mind all at once and I felt like just closing my door immediately. I know this conversation is not really going anywhere ….'i don't know what to do again..' She gave him another hug. So there was no need to ruin it. “My name is Mary.” “Mary? I’ve never heard of anyone named…” “You wouldn’t know. You had amnesia of course you would not know. I’ve been your best friend for years now. We even played countless times in some tournaments while we grew up.” She smiled. “If that’s the case then you are welcome.” She led me in to sit down and I started to talk to her like I had known her forever. It turned out she didn’t even know anyone. This was worse than I thought.

And he can see in this guy's face, he fully know the name, but it was all a shock to her that this guy answered "No!" And this answer that says "No" brought her spirit down immediately, she never expected an answer that says "No" from him. But the young man continues to explain why they wasn't able to know her name. "None of us here knows her name, because we have never met her before, she was just some one that came for our rescue" the boy that stepped out said to her. She felt so disappointed with what the boy said, she was actually hoping that the boy will give her a positive answer.

Then she had become something we had no name for. And maybe she’d never come back or not.

Only then did she realize she hadn't asked for his phone number, nor did she know his name. How was she supposed to approach him when they met?

Mom turned slightly, not fully facing us. “I never knew his name,” she said. The words dropped flat as I stared at her. “You… didn’t?” I asked quietly and she shook her head once. “He never told me,” she said. “And I never asked. I didn’t want to know more than I already did.”

How did he know my name? How the fuck did he know my name? I had never spoken to him. I had never taken his class before. This was my first day in this room. He hadn’t asked us to introduce ourselves. There hadn’t been a roll call. No paper passed around. No name tags. No introductions. So how. Did. He. Know. He didn’t look confused. He wasn’t guessing. He said my name like it belonged to his mouth.

I walked away from the only thing that sparked life to my already dead heart. I walked away without knowing her name, without knowing anything about her. But I knew from this day forward, she would creep into my mind and my heart for the rest of my life.

It even the damn fact that I didn't even know her name. Two weeks without a woman was my problem, not the little peanut. What was her name? Nothing. I rolled it over on my tongue silently. It didn't help ease the flow of my racing blood; if anything, it worsened my situation. I'm sure her name wasn't nothing, she only said that not to give out her identity but that wasn't a problem for me.
