The wife he never wanted

The wife he never wanted

Amara Lawson never imagined her life would change because of someone else’s broken promise. When a high-society engagement collapses days before a crucial business merger, Amara is forced into an arranged marriage meant to replace the bride who ran away. Her sacrifice is simple: marry Lucas Harrington, the cold, powerful CEO who never wanted her—and save her struggling family from financial ruin. To Lucas, the marriage is nothing more than a transaction. His heart is still chained to the woman who left him, and Amara is merely a reminder of betrayal. From the moment she enters his world of wealth and control, she is treated like an outsider—his wife in name only. Bound by duty, ignored by desire, Amara learns quickly that love is not guaranteed by vows. Behind closed doors, silence becomes her constant companion. Publicly, they play the perfect couple. Privately, resentment, pride, and unresolved pain threaten to tear them apart. As Amara struggles to find her place, she uncovers secrets buried within the Harrington family—truths that reveal why Lucas fears love and why he keeps her at arm’s length. But hearts are dangerous things. Small moments of kindness, stolen glances, and shared pain begin to blur the lines between obligation and emotion. When the past returns and threatens to destroy what little trust they’ve built, Amara must decide whether to keep enduring a loveless marriage—or walk away with her dignity intact. And Lucas must confront the one truth he has been running from: that the woman he never wanted may be the only one strong enough to stay. The Girl He Never Wanted is a slow-burn romance filled with emotional tension, arranged marriage, betrayal, personal growth, and the painful journey from rejection to self-worth.

i think the author needs to focus on finishing books rather than leaving lots of unfinished ones that leave your readers hanging and we do not want that. you would gain more followers and readers if you can concentrate on one story at a time and finish each book. more ongoing than completed books
SillyRabbit
This is one heck of a story. It has romance, betrayal, revenge, time travel, robots and tons of dramatic twists and turns. There are some translation mistakes here and there but overall, it’s well written.

Your Honor, I'm Back

Your Honor, I'm Back

On Thanksgiving, my husband Steven Mandel showed up with another woman. Not just anyone—Fiona Osborne, his first love. She had Alzheimer's and only remembered him. And yeah, he said she was moving in. Steven's eyes were ice. "Erica, I stayed away from Fiona out of duty. But I'm not wasting what time I have left without her." Happy 50th anniversary to me. No gift—just a slap-in-the-face love confession. Maya, my daughter-in-law, tried to talk some sense into him, bless her. Then Anton—my own son—cut in. "Mom already kept Dad away from Fiona for years. She's tied ME to you for half my life. Now Dad just wants to take care of the woman he loves—what's so wrong with that?" Steven stepped in front of Fiona like some kind of hero. "Anton's right. Erica, I let you play the wife role for decades. Now, I want to be with the woman I truly love. "If you can't handle that, let's just get a divorce." I stood there, frozen. I'd walked away from a powerhouse law career for this family after we had Anton. I thought I had given everything, and in their eyes, I would be a perfect wife and a perfect mother. But today made it clear—I was never enough. No matter how much I gave, it was never going to be enough. I turned to Maya. She was crying. "You wanna get divorced together?"
