It was designed to obscure our features, leaving only our eyes visible. We moved in sync, checking each other's equipment one last time. Giovanni adjusted the strap on my holster, his fingers brushing against my skin, sending a jolt of electricity through me. I looked up, meeting his gaze. For a moment, we were just Giovanni and Gabriella, the past forgotten.

I questioned her and Keran and Nyx both grinned and nodded. "The goblins are highly sexual creatures and won't think anything about an exposed nipple, bare breast, or man's penis out on display so don't stare or be too shocked by what you see. Also, some have extras…arms, eyes, etc," Nyx informed Noah and me. I shrugged and told him hell's demons were similar.

Unlike the new folks, he wore a rather 90’s look with a dark coat. His dark pupils focused on me. “Finally,” he muttered, adjusting his collar with an air of annoyance. “I was starting to get cramped in that ridiculous form.” I arched my brow. “You volunteered to be a goblin. I didn't force you.”

He asked in a teasing manner. She wanted to throw her macaron at him, but recalling Agathus’ warning voice she held back with a frown. Alastair was glad to see that Alexis didn’t return his behaviour with a smile. ‘I should give Agathus that bonus’ he thought with a smile. ‘But more importantly…’ he frowned, knowing how difficult goblin infestations were to control. Countless deaths had been at the hands of those extremely small but strong beings. A goblin was the result of a feral dwarf. They lose their mind and shy away from the sun and then their skin changes colour and they attack any humans on sight.

All of the goblins were red-skinned and armed with swords and pikes, which was unusual because goblins were not born with weapons. Because the initial goblin organizations were small and feeble, the adventuring and mercenary organizations of the time believed it to be normal. Despite their crimson skin and rudimentary weaponry, they were no more powerful than normal green goblins. They would typically be pursued by a group of intrepid individuals before they proliferated.

Another voice said, coming from the other end of the hall. "Two of them?" Gwen said, turning her head to look. Both figures stepped into the light, allowing the group to lay their eyes upon them and take in their appearance. Before them stood two large and muscular Hobgoblins, one with green skin and another with yellow, each wearing leather armour with swords strapped to their hips. "What in the hell are these things?" Owen said, never having seen a goblin like them. "These would be Hobgoblins..." Xolvion said. "Hobgoblins?" Gwen asked.

All three of them slipped on carnival like face masks, the very colorful ones with even more colorful feathers at the end. “What is going on?” I ask, this time looking from person to person. “Want to find out?” Abed asks from behind the mask, he blinked at me through the eye hole, I stared at him, even with the mask, he was as beautiful as they came. I swallow, and nod. Abed stretched out his hand, in it was another mask, staring at it for a second longer, I take it, turning it over in my hands, I notice it is not the disposable type, and it had the word SUNFLOWER engraved on it.
