Aris roared, pointing to the main bulkhead.
The heavy steel door was beginning to buckle inward, a massive dent appearing in its center as the pressure from the outside finally reached its critical threshold. Behind it, the muffled, rhythmic thudding of boots grew louder.
"Victor Kalos," Nikos hissed, recognizing the sound of the militia leader’s heavy, methodical approach. "He’s at the gate."
"He’s not getting through in time!" Aris countered, his hands bleeding as he forced the lever to the final position. "The steam is venting! The pressure is stabilizing! Do it, Nikos! Disconnect!"
