Invisible pressure pressed against everyone’s skin, suffocating, heavy like a storm before a lightning strike. Beads of sweat formed on brows. No one dared speak. “I don’t get it,” Mason snarled, pacing the floor like a caged beast. “This entire place is layered with spells, runes, totems—there’s no fucking way someone can walk out of here undetected. Not unless—” He froze. His eyes narrowed, breath shallow. “—Not unless someone wanted them to disappear…” he whispered, more to himself than anyone else. He looked back at the screen.

Just as the walls were about to close in completely, they made it out, tumbling into another corridor, panting and out of breath. They didn’t stop to catch their breath for long, though. The realization was slowly dawning on them all. “The maze is alive,” Maya whispered, her voice barely audible. “It’s shifting, changing. That’s why no one has ever escaped. It’s designed to trap us.” Nathan swallowed, his face pale. “How do we escape something like that?” Tanaka looked grim as he wiped the sweat from his brow. “We don’t know. But we keep moving forward. The map still shows us the center, and we stick to the plan.”

I pull the overall on with numb fingers, then lift a black lycan mask, putting it on. When it settles over my face, I feel something ease inside me. The world grows quiet, just muted. Good, I think it allows me to vanish. The horn sounds out to signal the beginning. We run. Corn stalks rub against my legs, dry leaves crunching as we run the maze stretches out under the moonlight, silvered and ethereal. Paths splitting, laughter rings out, and someone shrieks with delight nearby. I run harder than I should. My shoulder hurts with every stride. The ache flares to my neck, pain curling down my spine.

His blood hits the floor and sinks; the Maze drinks it greedily. He glances at me. “It needs blood freely given.” “I can help.” “No.” He’s firm, low. “One of us bleeds. Not both.” But the Maze doesn’t stay satisfied for long. By the next chamber, the heartbeat quickens, louder, impatient. The walls pulse tighter, forcing us single-file through a tunnel barely wide enough to breathe. The floor squelches with each step. Renna vomits. The sound echoes wetly. I gag, forcing it down. “Keep moving.”

She mused. Stepping back she let her gaze rove over him. Hunter was tied with silver chains that burned his skin. The first few buttons of his grey shirt were opened. His black hair was a ruffled mess but his eyes looked like sweet wine which could drown hundreds of beauties in them. "What's this f*ckin spell you put me under?" Hunter growled in menace, he was a bit dazed. A sweet giggle filtered across the room and his heartbeat quickened at that beautiful smile of hers.

"This place was ... was ... already here!" "Exactly. Once I realized that, I began working on the maze." Mike grabbed her hips, massaging them as her whole body tensed up. "You see, I realized that once you figured out what I had, I was going to have a tough time keeping you here. The maze was one part distraction, three parts Dreamscape logic." Mike slid a hand down her breast, pinching her nipple through her teddy. "I needed you to be distracted, your attention on something else. Otherwise, you may have caught on."

[Seraphine's POV] I was on the brink of death, almost killed, all because I had forgotten the essence of our plan. True to its name, the Thunder Maze was indeed a labyrinth possessed by the Thunder God, and it was the ultimate weapon to defeat anyone trapped inside. The labyrinth I beheld still resembled an ordinary black maze, as if it had emerged from the depths of the earth. After a considerable time, the air around me suddenly grew calm, signaling the onset of the second round.

He nodded affirmatively, "Yes, it's mine." Light dawned on her; it was Mason's gaze she had sensed when she went downstairs to buy congee. "I thought it was my imagination." "What imagination? If you feel it, it's probably real," Mason replied, causing her to gaze at him curiously. Their conversation drifted from the likelihood of a car's familiarity to why Mason had not gotten out to greet her, only to explain he wanted to surprise her. "I heard you were working at the Qin corporation, so I came straight after landing, hoping to catch you after work."

With them, he could see anything; and he did see everything. "To think I would meet him here as well," Butler Fin's brightly shinning eyes slowly dimmed and returned to normal. He slowly put the orb he held away, almost as if there was no need to look at what was happening in the maze he had created. And indeed, there wasn't; for the one who Butler Fin had seen through those eyes of his was bound to be the one to escape his maze this time. "Kim Min" Butler Fin slowly mouthed and turned away. He slowly floated away, allowing the darkness of space to enshroud him as he muttered,

I was peacefully sleeping in bed, when I woke up to Rudy pulling telling me we had to leave, he runs us downstairs picking up a pair of shoes telling me to jump on his back. I listen as I was still half asleep, he runs out the house where I saw everyone else running scared, I didn't know what the heck was gonna on, at this point, I still didn't know if I was dreaming or not. Rudy follows everyone else into a little bunker where it was very cramped, I jump down off his back as he takes my hand walking us through the mass of people, he takes us over to his mother who as we got closer was standing on a little raised platform, it was weird not seeing her with his father.
