Maze Runner Newt Imagines Novels & Stories

His blood hits the floor and sinks; the Maze drinks it greedily. He glances at me. “It needs blood freely given.” “I can help.” “No.” He’s firm, low. “One of us bleeds. Not both.” But the Maze doesn’t stay satisfied for long. By the next chamber, the heartbeat quickens, louder, impatient. The walls pulse tighter, forcing us single-file through a tunnel barely wide enough to breathe. The floor squelches with each step. Renna vomits. The sound echoes wetly. I gag, forcing it down. “Keep moving.”

She is just so beautiful I couldn’t imagine hurting her; I even hate seeing her in pain. As I walk back towards my camp and Natalie, I check the traps and what I find is a young deer. This is going to be great breakfast, I grab the sack, that I had over my shoulder and stuff the deer into the sack. I then haul the bag over my shoulder again and start walking but the deer is so heavy it still drags along the ground. Returning to my campsite takes twice as long because of the deer. Arriving back I drag it around and start cutting it up allowing Natalie and myself to have small but nice pieces of meat. Just as I finish cutting the young deer, I see a shimmer of light coming from the side of the

"But how in the world I'm I going to get up there to stab its head?" "This is a very wide plane field, as far as the eye can see. Although, now that I think of it, the trees are pretty big but they are far away from me and on the other side, there are tall grass which looks like a maze, which would be hard to see and navigate through it" "Come to think of it, why would the serpent leave an area like that and come to a place it can be easily seen" Natsu wondered. "Does this mean that they are other contestants over there. If so, I should head over there. But how am I going to navigate through that maze?" Natsu thought.

Screams went up around the arena, and my heart raced as from the ground, greenery began to rise where it had just been the arena court. They rose and rose until they formed thick high walls of trees, flowers, greenery, and several things welded together. The maze. “Of course, we have a timer,” he smirked. On cue, one of the dryads cast a large ticking clock overhead made from plants. “Last to leave the maze loses, first to leave wins. LET THE CONTESTS BEGIN!”

I fired one last time, hitting him strait between his soulless eyes. He fell to a quivering mass on the ground and I hit the top of the roof twice, letting Aaron know we were alone again. The green Ute slowed to a crawl, but didn't stop. I slipped my gun back into it's waiting home and dropped to a crouch, searching the nearest bags for the extra bulb the boys had brought back with the new food supplies. The adrenalin rush had left me breathless and shaky, but I needed to fix the light. The longer it was out, the longer we had a direct, unlit path to the car.

“The entrances are below us, the contestants will enter from the far sides. The exit is opposite. You are welcome to make an inspection, if you wish.” Sure, go in to have a look, suddenly there’s a malfunction in the central computer and we’re trapped in there, fighting for our lives. I’ve been to the movies, I wasn’t going to fall for that one. “I’m fine. I think I can see enough from up here to be able to spot any foul play.” There was a tremendous crash, and part of the cavern wall to my left collapsed. A gush of bright yellow lava flooded through the maze, swamping a large area, knocking down walls and provoking screams from animals that just went from wild to absolutely livid.

I waited a moment and realized that this was the best we were going to get. "NOW!" I yelled out loud and Lee took down one warrior while I knocked out the other. I grabbed Lee's hand and we ran towards the woods. "She's with him!" Dean called as they all began chasing us. Suddenly I heard a voice that made me freeze. "STOP. Leave her alone!" I dropped the invisible act as I turned. "Mom?"

“Just keep moving.” His eyes darted from side to side in search of a way out. But there was none. The world around Sage was strange and dreamlike. Mist swirled like living vines, forming shapes that disappeared as quickly as they appeared. Above, instead of a sky, there was a never-ending river of dark, moving shadows. The growls grew louder, closer. His brain yelled at him to run faster, but his muscles wouldn't respond. The sharp ache in his legs burned with every stride. “I can't stand it any longer,” he complained and jawed (with tightly shut teeth) in frustration.

After what felt like an eternity of trials and tribulations, they arrived at a massive stone archway, adorned with ancient symbols and pulsating with an energy that sent a shiver down Amelia's spine. Soren's voice echoed through the silence. "Within lies the final test. The Heartstone calls upon you to prove your worth." As they stepped through the archway, the forest transformed into an ethereal, maze-like labyrinth. The path twisted and turned, shifting its layout with every breath they took. Amelia's heart pounded in her chest as they navigated through the maze, their steps fueled by determination. Suddenly, the maze turned pitch-black, enshrouded in darkness. Panic rose within Amelia, bu

Whenever he looked at me like that, I felt nothing but goosebumps all over my skin, and my body was suddenly warmer than usual. “If you’re sure, we can start. There are water bottles all over the maze, so you don’t have to worry about being dehydrated. I’ll give you a twenty-minute head start because I am a very fast runner, and I will catch you if it’s less than that. All you need to focus on is getting to the end of the maze.” I agreed. I stood there to catch a deep breath and to decipher whether it was a good idea to play games with a monster, but I ultimately decided it was worth a shot. What was the worst that could happen anyway?
