Before I could speak again, she dashed out of the room. "Ava!" I yelled, going after her. Ava's POV I had come to tell him of father's proposal but the sudden urge to feed overwhelmed me while talking to him. I dashed out of the study room and bumped into Anna, I pushed her out of my way. The urge to kill and drain blood heightened inside of me. She fell on the floor and I heard Skye calling out to me but I didn't oblige to him. This sudden hunger that had started while I was at the crescent pack house was consuming me.

She couldn’t complete her sentence, when a wolf dashed inside the cave, before Vaughan could react, it had already plunged his claws into Avanna’s chest. “Avanna!”. He screamed, and I felt the agony in his voice. Their relationship wasn’t specified, but I observed he cared deeply for her. In a fit of rage he quickly changed to his wolf form, killing off the stray wolf in one go.

Naya started laughing wildly. Meanwhile, Madeline and Ava looked at each other. “Ava, are you okay?” Ava pulled the corners of her lips into a smile. “Don't worry, Maddie. I can still hold on.” Upon hearing this, Naya abruptly stopped laughing. In a flash, she turned to Ava with an extremely fierce attitude. “Hold on? How are you going to hold on?” Not to be outdone, Ava stared coldly back at Naya. “Although I'm being held here, I know there’s someone who’s in love with me waiting for me to return safely, and this is my belief. It’s something you won’t understand.”

“You don’t understand that by doing this you have not only put yourself in danger but—“ he paused. “What!?” I asked pushing in. I probably shouldn’t be getting him angry but I am as frustrated as he is. This isn’t just about him. I don’t decide to mate with an Alpha in the first place. "I don’t care Alexandra. I am here and I am doing this," I stuttered. His laughter sent shivers down my spine. "Don't forget your place, Nova," he snarled. "You're just an Omega, here to serve." Tears pricked at my eyes.
