"Plus, tonight is about us. Let's not let Delaney ruin it, okay?" Brayden nodded and grinned. "Well, hop in." He said. "I hope you're not afraid of heights." That made me smile a bit for some reason but I entered the basket anyway. "Alright," Brayden said as he joined me. "Let's wait for the whistle." I turned around and watched as Joshua accompany Delaney in a green and yellow hot air balloon. I shook my head. No, I should not get distracted. A few moments after, we heard the sound of a whistle.

Xander asked. "How about going around?' Beta Brian suggested. "And risk activating some new traps? Nah. I'd rather have this one. At least we know what we are dealing with," Ramirez responded. Closing my eyes tightly as I let Luke take the reins. With a dominant tone, he ushered, "Look closely, everyone. They seem to dance with a pattern." The vines came from all directions. They hang out from the trees, but they also attack horizontally. At first glance, it looks like they are just wiggling at random times, but they have this unsung rhythm. We quickly assessed the situation and thought of how to efficiently dodge them.

“I’d rather fight than be buried in your garden.” Sylvara’s smile faded, and the glade trembled, vines surging from the ground, their tips sharp as thorns. “Then grow or be pruned,” she said, her voice a storm. The vines lashed out, forcing the group to scatter. Kade slashed through one, but it regrew, wrapping his arm. Selene’s spells burned, but the vines absorbed her light, growing thicker. Lucas dodged, his dagger slicing, but the vines were endless. Bryan’s spectral form slipped through, disrupting their roots, but the glade pulsed, feeding the assault.

Thankfully, the workers did not seem to notice us as they were too busy attacking the vines. I slowly got back up but to my surprise, all the blood and bit of flesh had now disappeared. It went dry and turned into ash before disappearing into the air. “That is weird' I thought and Grendel replied, “I understand your confusion. The blood in the vines doesn’t belong to the mortal world. It is protected inside the vines through some magic. And when the shell of protective magic is ripped off, the blood enters the world it is not supposed to be in…so it decomposes or whatever”

‘Do you have a better idea’ Chevy asked ‘beside if not for me we’ll have nothing to lighten the cave’. ‘Can’t we search for a tree to cut down, the lantern isn’t doing a great job of keeping us warm’ Natasha said shivering as she ate bread. ‘Do you see a tree going around here’ indigo asks sarcastically. ‘Well nara can grow a tree’ ivory said glancing at Nara. ‘I can’t grow a tree yet, I’m still a phase two’ nara replied standing up, going to the entrance of the cave she puts her hands on the floor, plants suddenly shoots out and grows till they cover the cave entirely.

Click. Suddenly, the glass skybridge beneath their feet retracted. "Whoa!" Luke grabbed the railing. "The plants!" Alex screamed. "Look out!" Below them, the massive purple vines began to writhe. They shot up from the ground like tentacles, reaching for the bridge. "They react to heat!" Alex shouted. "They are trying to grab us!" "Open fire!" Jackson commanded. They unleashed a hail of bullets on the vines. Green sap exploded everywhere. The plants recoiled, screeching like injured animals.

Their teamwork was already great, it was the lack of leadership that was their Achilles heel. Verra was also in this platoon and was not in a pleasant mood as Eloise was in another platoon and she couldn't protect her. She took out her frustration on the energy beasts instead. She tossed 3 seeds on the ground, then waved her hand, releasing green mana into the seeds. Within seconds, the three seeds grew into black vines that impaled hundreds of energy beasts. The vines moved like snakes; they slithered on the ground and walls, impaling everything that came within range. They were Steele vines and Verra was using nature energy to grow and manipulate them.

Colt said out loud. “Hold on.” Relaxing my entire body, I focused on creating these beautiful vines with massive purple and white flowers. In the middle, they had little needles that shot out poison into their victim. Opening my eyes, I watched them grow around the surrounding trees. The Vaewolves seemed uneasy about them as they bounced from foot to foot.

"Now that you mention it, isn't that Fredrick's power? Controlling plants." "I'm not quite sure...." Prince Ludiciel answered. "I don't think I've ever seen him use his powers." "I think that's his power." Zedekiel affirmed. "I saw him use vines to bind Ron. They weren't regular vines either. They were very thick and long. Five times the size of normal vines. If you think about it, there's only one place that grows such vines." Prince Ludiciel gasped, his face going pale. "The Echoing Isle!"

"Hiraku, do you think you can climb up if Bob picks you up?" "Leave it to me" Hikaru nods. Bob bends over a bit and uses his hands to lift Hikaru, who takes advantage of the momentum to jump to the nearest branch. From there he only needed to take a couple more jumps and finally reach the vine. Then he throws us some oval yellow fruits the size of a fist. At the base of the fruit you can see the stem from which it came. The most curious thing is that it is bright, to the point that it seems to emit its own light.
