It was the first night of the Dark Moon. Tomorrow that moon would hold power, power Vargas would harness and use to open a Gateway to the Nether.

Gratitude swells within him, knowing that this moment of vulnerability had been contained within the trusted circle of his hopeful mates. After the intense events of the night, Naida retired to their shared tent, seeking solace and rest.
