The guys played basketball free throws and won us hotdogs on sticks and drinks.
The night was slowly turning into a fun one until Justine asked me about the Horror House again.
“Why didn’t you find your way out, Benny?” she asked, taking a huge bite of her hotdog. “Did you know how long you were inside?”
I shook my head, taking a sip of my soda. “It felt like I was there for three, four minutes.”
The two siblings across from Kai and I looked at each other.
“You were inside for like twenty minutes, Benny,” Justine exclaimed. “Eighteen to be exact. Creepy Vampire guy didn’t want us to go inside and find you, so Kai paid him a hundred bucks so he’d know where to get you.”
