If I Can't Make You Stay

If I Can't Make You Stay

Now, provoked to the breaking point, she snapped—grabbing the book beside her and hurling it at the nurse like she'd gone mad. "Stop!" Quentin had barely recovered when he saw what was happening. His shout came too late. … But it was already over. The corner of the book scraped across the nurse's eye, leaving a long, red mark. "Ah!" The nurse touched the blood at the corner of her eye and shrieked. She shoved the door open. "Help! There's a disturbance!" Several nearby doctors and nurses rushed in. When they saw the bleeding cut near the nurse's eye, they all sucked in a breath.

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

He still looked like an elite, but just too disheveled and ridiculous. Lena gently coaxed Nala and caressed her head, trying to recall the story of Little Red Riding Hood from her childhood memories. She stumbled through the tale, making some mistakes, but Nala snuggled close and listened carefully. The nurse skillfully administered Nala's butterfly needle and started her on the drip. The once-chaotic hospital ward had now returned to a calm and peaceful state. A while later, Nala fell asleep in Lena's embrace. After making sure Nala was truly asleep, Lena put her down carefully and tucked her in before leaving the room with Elijah.

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

One Night With My Neighbor

One Night With My Neighbor

A key card was placed in her hand without questions. The elevator rose fast. Her heart rose with it. The room was large. Clean white sheets, low lights too. A bottle of wine on the table. Adrian stood near the window with his jacket off. His shirt was white and open at the throat. He looked at her from head to toe. “You came.” “I said I would.” “Take off your shoes.” Maya slipped them off. The carpet was thick under her feet. Adrian walked to her. He stopped close. He smelled like clean skin and something dark. “You can still leave.”

THE CEO'S CONTRACT WIFE: I didn't fall for him...Until I did

THE CEO'S CONTRACT WIFE: I didn't fall for him...Until I did

In the library, I was a prisoner pretending to read a book I had already memorized. Inside me, Naledi was restless. The baby kicked—hard—as if sensing the sudden shift in the atmosphere. It wasn't a flutter; it was a warning. 10:15 PM. I retreated to the kitchen, the scent of ginger tea the only thing grounding me. The mug was a warm anchor in my trembling hands until the soft *scuff* of footsteps echoed against the marble. Nancy.

The Mansion {Madres Mansion}

The Mansion {Madres Mansion}

And second, if I dare sleep, another nightmare would do the honors of waking me up. I keep rolling about in my bed till I can't take it anymore. I put my feet into my shoes and rise to my feet. I walk out of the hall into the passageway. The place is lonely and isolated. I sure shouldn't be out l here by this time but I need to clear my mind. I keep walking in this passageway lit by the candles orange lights... I have no idea where I'm going so I decide to stop. I head for a window to get some fresh air. I see a beautiful nightingale but it flies away to a tree not too far away.

Light And Night

Light And Night

A little girl in a room. She walked slowly in the pitch dark. Then, the little girl turned on the light to illuminate the place. At that moment, the little girl saw something flowing near her feet. She was immediately shocked when she saw the blood flowing towards her. The little girl immediately screamed while fear enveloped her tiny body. “AHH!!!” A girl who fell asleep on her bed alone, she screamed in fear and immediately opened her eyes and woke up from her sleep. Then, the girl sat on her bed holding the blanket that covered her whole body.

The Girl Who Survived the Night

The Girl Who Survived the Night

"Go through the front gate. The balcony’s too dangerous. I brought your ID and insurance card. Good thing your mother moved your records under her name back then. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known what to do." I turned back in disbelief. This grandmother I remembered—loud and sharp-tongued—now stood there slightly hunched, her silver hair neatly pinned back, a few loose strands drifting across her forehead. She looked almost like a child who had done something wrong, unsure of what to do. Her calloused hand reached up to touch my cheek. It was rough, but warm. "Go, Nia. Leave this place. Live the life you want." There wasn’t a single servant left in the villa. The guards at the entrance were

Retribution

Retribution

Valencia Nightingale "Valencia..." "Valencia!" A cough tore out of me, unbridled as a desperate voice pierced through the ringing in my ears, pulling me back from the dark and endless fog I had gotten lost in. Something pressed hard against my chest in rhythmic movements—firm and resolute, commanding me to breathe. My chest heaved. Everything hurt. The air was thick, heavy, and every inhale scraped my throat raw. “Valencia,” the voice growled again, closer this time, breaking through the fog. “Stay with me. Don’t you dare close your eyes.”

Enchanting Night

Enchanting Night

He stood on the balcony in the cold wind all night. When he returned to the bedroom, he found that my mother had jumped out of the window. That night, it poured. The rain washed away the blood from my mother's corpse. Cade rushed over and held me tight, letting me punch him repeatedly. He kept saying, "It's okay, it's okay…" But he chose Summer as his new fling. As Mrs. Finley, what dignity do I have left? That night, Cade did not come home. The trending topic I arranged was buried deep by him.

THE NIGHT WILL TELL

THE NIGHT WILL TELL

I yell furiously and she stops whistling and whisper these words into my ears, MYSTERIOUS OLD LADY: HEED! HEED! HEED! I gasp and jolt up my back from the bed the moment I wake up from another horrifying nightmare. “Another nightmare!” I exclaim as I can't stop panting and trying to catch my breath. I can't sleep anymore, I've heard this old lady speak to me twice in my dreams, just within a day. I flip the lamp switch on and I glimpse at the alarm clock, “This can't be. What is the probability that this is also a coincidence?”
