The Nightmare

The Nightmare

He pushed the book towards me and I read through the page quickly. "That seems to be the main law. Everything else stems from it." I said and he nodded. "At least now we know why you won't harm any one." he grinned and I rolled my eyes. "You mean besides the fact that it's wrong?" I teased and he shrugged. "Right and wrong are all relative terms, honey." he joked back and I just shook my head. We looked through the dusty books together for a while longer, pointing out interesting facts to one another. I was shocked to realize how much I was enjoying my time with Neil.

Susan
Really engaging story with an interesting take on the usual werewolf themes - hope you are able to update soon though as I’m dying to know what happens next! It’s been a while since the last one, hope everything is ok with you

Great book. Well paced, intriguing characters with very solid world building. My one qualm is that there are, at times, too many characters. Often there are a lot of names being thrown around and its hard to tell who's who.

Night Shift English Version

Night Shift English Version

"Remon, I was under the impression that you wanted me to be okay when I became pregnant. The fact is that you appear to be making things worse! I yelled as I walked back to the room where I had woken up and pushed myself to one side of the mattress. I couldn't stop crying, but the tears were heavy and my chest hurt. "I don't want to," says the author. I say to Yhra, "Dinner is ready." I rose to my feet and stood up to follow him, much to my dismay. When I first feel the jerking between light and darkness, it will be late in the afternoon. "Be careful," she said as she guided me down the staircase, as if I were a princess. Now, I'm afraid I'll get injured again next time.

) (voice echoed. No! I screamed out of bed from the same nightmare, gasping, craving for water. I held onto my cheek and pulled my hair backward. Ciara woke up suddenly in fear, she switched on the light beside her and held onto me. "what is wrong? You tremble, do you need water?" I nodded to her. "I will get you some," she hurried to my bedside to get water, but the jug was empty. "gosh, I'd just go downstairs to get some."

Dark Journal

Dark Journal

Watching the road below the way she watched everything, with the particular patience of someone who had learned a long time ago that threats rarely announced themselves. Caelith sat on the edge of the bed and talked. She started from the beginning. The dreams. The feeling on the street that first Wednesday. The black car and the chemical cloth and the ritual room with the candles that didn't flicker. The stranger who appeared and disappeared and submitted her essay and left her on a bench on a road nobody used. Zara, the courtyard, the blood deal. The journal. The friend she called at midnight who knew things she shouldn't have known from footnotes.

Hatred was the feeling that flowed through his strings at me, and it hurt. Of course I had no right to feel like that; but my emotions never do as they're told and I refuse to rip these ones out. Just because I have no right to feel this way doesn't mean I don't deserve to. Knight is what his name was, but he enjoys going by Fractured now. He was supposed to be the Nightmare Master’s loyal dog who would kill anyone who went near him. Of course, he wasn't actually loyal, just doing as he was told so that his family wouldn't suffer the consequences.

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

Little did I know, the spark was about to become a raging inferno, courtesy of something far beyond the mortal realm. It started on a rainy Friday night. I’d come home exhausted from a long week, my blouse clinging to my skin from the downpour outside. I kicked off my heels, letting them thud against the hardwood floor, and poured myself a glass of merlot. The apartment felt emptier than usual; my last girlfriend had left months ago, citing my “workaholic tendencies” as the reason. Truth be told, I missed the warmth of a body next to mine, the soft curves and whispered promises in the dark. To distract myself, I rummaged through the old box of junk in my closet— relics from my rebellious pha

Daddy's Secret: A Collection of Forbidden Stories

Liora Vale had always loved the quiet. At twenty-one, she worked the night shift at the old city library. Most people thought the job was boring, but Liora loved being alone with the books after midnight. The tall shelves felt like old friends. One rainy night, while sorting the rare books section, she found a strange leather book hidden behind others. It had no title. When she opened it, the pages glowed softly. Words appeared. Nightmares

She hasn't taken dinner that night and her mouth needed real washing that evening. After cleaning her teeth, Juana sat at her desk and opened her big diary-it was a present from her granny for her eleventh birthday. It was a very big fine book. She began to write: "Hi dear diary, tomorrow is my birthday..." She had so much to tell her diary but the words weren't coming. She thought deeply for a while, sat up and began to write again: " Hi dear diary, tomorrow is my birthday but tonight is my meeting with my demons. I am scared, mom says I should pray, Aunt Ann said the same thing but I don't believe in it anymore. I don't even know how to pray; I'm mad at God.

My Running Nightmare

My Running Nightmare

She glanced over it and moved to the second one. It had a bunch of figures written down. Why would she have needed uber or to have more internet? Didn't she have a vehicle? She'd been in a car accident where she'd been driving. She was really confused now. She flipped through that book, too. At the end of it, she saw what looked like a code. What did that go to? A password maybe? Did she have a password on her phone? She decided to put everything back and lay down. She was actually tired. She'd just take a quick nap. She didn't even realize she had fallen asleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Night Wolves

Night Wolves

I ran my fingertips across the raised gold lettering and brown leather of the ancient book. At that moment, I realized this was my only connection to my people, the Arctic wolves. Looking at the Grimoire, I wondered if any other Arctic wolves from my pack had survived. After we stopped Nightshade, I intended to find out. But that was for a later time. If anyone did survive, then he or she could find me. But right now, we had to stop Nightshade. "Thanks, Bailey," I said, sighing in relief. "If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it?" she asked, her eyes filled with concern.
