May.2050 The nightmare woke her again, she groaned as she stirred lazily to check the digital alarm clock beside her colt. It was 4am, she groaned again. Drilling starts by 5 and she knew there was no chance to steal a little bit more sleep, she lay back down to ponder over her constant dreams, dreams which she had begun to get used to that she didn’t wake up screaming in terror anymore, it had always been the same nightmare every night, the blood curdling screams of a tortured man, flashes of lights and the grim goggled faces of people in long white coats.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips, and I let my neck fall backward to the wall and closed my eyes, relieved. My chest heaved up and down. My tank top and my hair were glued to me due to sweat. Suddenly, a wave of drowsiness ran through my body. My eyelids became heavy again. I shook my head and opened my eyes, only to see the room circling around me. Black spots came into my vision and before I knew it, I was falling unconscious again.

After roaming the dark and eerie corridor, she knew she was in a terrible nightmare. Out of the blues and in a sharp twist of events, a large silhouette of a hand grabbed her neck. It swung her to the corner of the corridor, thrashing the shelves and spilling the books scattered on the floor. “Today you die”, a voice from the hand screamed. A sound loud enough to burst one's eardrum.

Rachel excitedly introduced me to the rest of the pack who had been away on a business trip and only just arrived back from what I had gathered. "Hello Luna, my name is Natasha." One of the girls exclaimed. She seemed nice as she went round the room telling me who everyone was. " And you?" I called out to the girl who was throwing daggers my way. She scowled and stared at the floor. I found this very disrespectful behaviour towards someone who was meant to be their future Luna and found myself snapping at the girl. "Is this how you treat your future Luna. Perhaps the alpha will have something to say about this." The room fell silent as the girl glared at me.

They helped us move into a good position, and then I took Ally’s hand again (despite the warning glare from Nick), and I led us somewhere else. I went straight for Maxine. We had been right, this was her room we were next to. Before I knew it I was in a carnival at night, an abandoned one - like we were in an edgy episode of Scooby Doo. There was a ferris wheel, a ‘fun house,’ a few carnival game booths, slides, and other blinking things. A dark figure rushed past. I had been hounded by nightmares, gnarled reflections of everything I feared most and everything that made me insecure.
