I cannot wait for mine. I get up, make my bed, and go to the bathroom. Today is my first day at Black Sun High and I'm anxious. Black Sun high is the high school everyone in Charlotte, North Carolina goes to. It was filled with werewolves shifted and unshifted, and humans. Humans don't know about us, and we prefer to keep it that way. Humans knowing about the supernatural can get them killed very easily, so we prefer to stay by ourselves. I glance at myself in the mirror as my messy brown curly hair falls over my face. I can't help to think about how my body looks so much different than all the other girls. I'm 5,5. That face, those eyes, that feeling. I didn't dare to watch Kael and the girl kissing intimately under the moonlight any longer. I fled back home almost in a panic. Back home, I sat on the cold floor, unable to calm down for a long time. That girl's face flashed before my eyes repeatedly, like a ghost. It made me realize that this matter was far more terrifying and bizarre than I had imagined. My hands trembling, I took out my phone and sent emergency messages to several people. Half an hour later, my parents, Kael's mother Elara, and Kael's sister Rachel all rushed to my residence.

“I’m just saying, if I do become immortal, I'll never work a night shift again. Ever. I will haunt the rich exclusively.” I snorted. “You already do that.” She grinned. “Practice makes perfect.” Then it happened. A scream tore through the night. Not a drunk’s yell. Not laughter. Not a lover’s argument spilling into the street. This was pain—pure, ripping, animal. Mae froze. So did I. Another scream followed. Closer. Then another, layered over it, deeper and broken short like someone choking on their own blood. My stomach dropped. “That’s not—” Mae started.

I would speak to him about it later if he didn’t want to listen now. I fell asleep in his arms and my nightmares returned for the first time since I turned. I was being chased by monsters! Some I couldn’t even name. It was almost as if every horror film I had ever watched melted into one huge nightmare. Hunter woke me in the middle of the night and I had to take a shower to wash away the sweat. I fell asleep pretty fast, thankfully.

I slept like a baby that night. My body was worn out, and so was my mind. Everything they had told me didn't make sense, and it feels like it never will. I can't make myself believe in monsters. Let alone think that I am one. I'm just a boring, normal girl. Nothing exciting has ever happened to me in life. I wasn't popular in high school; I was barely noticed; I've never had some great love or heartbreak; I've just lived a boring, dull life.

MY HEAD WAS IN pain because it felt like someone was pulling my mind tighter and tighter, and if they didn't let go soon, it was going to snap. I couldn't do anything about it either since I was still under the nightmare Master’s control, performing for these rich socialites or should I say sadistic assholes. Well, I'm not performing that is the job for the freaks that the night remaster sends me. What Doc doesn't realize is that his ability works, and where most of them are freaks, the nightmare master can't stand the sight of, since they are useless. So he sends them here to perform for these assholes.

My Nightmare Natty's POV It was morning already and last night was a long night. I never knew he was that insatiable.I lot count as to how many times we did it. Thinking about it, I smiled. I looked over to him and smiled more. He was still sleeping like a baby. I tried standing up but I felt pain in my thighs. I tried again but I just groaned.
