Nightmare Moon In The Moon Novels & Stories

Esther’s POV The first sign that the night was different came as a low, rolling tremor under my bare feet. The Blood Moon Pack compound sat silent, but the walls themselves seemed to vibrate like the inside of a drum. Outside my barred window, the moon was swollen and white-blue, leaking silver down the corridor walls like spilled mercury. Full moon nights had always made Nicholas strange—quicker to rage, slower to remember—but tonight his power felt like a living, breathing thing clawing at its cage.

With trembling hands, she pushed it open, causing a slight creak to pierce the silence of the night. The moon cast an eerie glow on the world below, its pale light dancing on the rustic backyard. Luna peered into the darkness, her thoughts still consumed by the ghostly presence of her mother. She longed for the comfort only her touch could bring, the warmth of her embrace in times of fear and uncertainty.

The men nodded and got to work while the others shifted into wolves and darted back into the woods to find their comrades who had been wounded by the beast. Moon's call approached his cottage which was close to a hill at the other side of a narrow stream flowing down into the river at one part of the forest. He walked across the board bridge he had made over the stream to get to his own side. Although he would have easily sprinted through the stream if he was in his wolf form but he didn't really fancy getting wet when he was in his human form.

The curse doesn’t hurt you—it’s waking you. Outside, the forest trembled. The Moon hung too low. And miles away, deep in the Vale, an old woman’s laughter drifted through the trees. “Finally,” the witch purred, stroking a bowl of blood-bright water. “The Luna of MoonRiver has awakened. And she is mine to claim.”

I asked, turning to the other woman, who pulled down her hood. She was glowing a soft white, and her skin was the color of the moon, her eyes pitch black. She wore a thick silver crown that bore the different cycles of the moon. The full moon at the front of her head, “It’s been some time since I have seen you, child.” The woman’s voice was echoed, a mix between a man’s and a woman’s voice. “You’ve grown so much… I can’t wait to see you lead our people into the era of the light and out of the era of darkness.” “What do you mean? I’m dead?”

You have the abilities, and I know you would use them to fight your way through all this. "Serbian and the others can't stop your love nor dim your light." After a quality time spent, I left my parent's house and drove off to my apartment in the city. Feeling relieved and reassured that all was well. *** MOONHUNT OF LYCANS "Friends, family, children of the moon," Serbian's voice boomed from the top of White Rock, his presence radiating power and authority. "We gather tonight, as we always do, to witness the moonhun of this month."

“That’s appreciated, Elder Harvey.” Harvey beams and turns to me, his excitement barely contained. “You’ll be happy, Luna. The feast will be your formal introduction to the pack. Then, at the Blood Moon Festival, you’ll receive Eliora’s blessing for your union.” His joy rings out like a song. But inside me, a chill takes hold. The Blood Moon Festival. The one Primrose warned me about. The night the Luna goddess weaves her threads. Links true mates. How long does Gerald think he can fool a goddess?

Quickly, he stands and rushes to his desk, taking a laptop and bringing it to the table, promptly opening it. “Blake, I need to ask. Is this pack called Nightmare Moon?” Atticus asks, turning the laptop to face Blake with the pack mentioned on display, the layout of every building easily recognizable. I shudder, realizing that Nightmare Moon is an ally pack of Alexander and the unease I felt each time I had to visit the pack and meet the Alpha finally explained.

Arwin started explaining, "the moon speaks directly to the Luna." Alpha was now sitting straight and looked interested. "Luna is the one who gets affected by it the most, she is chosen directly but the moon." Alpha exchanged a look with me then turned back to Arwin. They were saying something but I was not able to focus. It did not matter if I was officially their Luna or not, I was their Alpha's true soulmate, and the nightmares were the signal. It was the moon, trying to warn me about the disaster that was just around the corner.

Through the cracks, I saw visions flicker like torn memories: wolves bowing before a blackened altar; silver eyes dimming to red; the moon itself splintering, its light dripping down as dark fire. And behind it all Nythera’s laughter, soft and endless, like a song hummed deep through bone. The Moon Goddess reached for me, her voice breaking through the noise. “Rayna! Do not look-” But I couldn’t stop. Because one of the visions wasn’t just memory - it was now. Or something that will be near future.
