I don’t want him clinging around me anymore, do something about him” the Prince lashed at me and I was taken aback “I should follow you to guard you” Remy countered but the Prince gave him a death glare

The prince took a quick gulp before reading the letter addressed to my grandfather. “~Father. A lot happened after I fell from grace. I’ve missed you, mother and my siblings dearly over all these years. I want to tell you so many things, but perhaps it’s better if I don’t. Yet, there’s a part of my life I’m not ashamed, but proud to share with you. My daughter, Xanthea~,” the prince looked at me. My feet crushed the forget-me-nots and even though I understood every word the prince said, I really couldn’t see past my anger.

I continued. "Ex-Prince, for your information," he corrected. His brows slightly creased. "Okay, ex-prince charming," I cleared my throat, blinking my eyes fast as that 'charming' word slipped out accidentally. I didn't mean it! He chuckled at that and shook his head. "But still, you are a prince! You were born with it, and it doesn't matter if you let go of your title eight years ago because you are still a part of the Findlaech-Crinain household."

He leaned close to the prince’s throat, inhaling deeply. “That pulse,” Velis whispered, lips brushing his captive’s skin. “That scent. Familiar. Too familiar.” Caelum jerked his head aside, jaw set in defiance. “I am The Crown Prince of the Ashan Federation. The last of my line. You think me weak? You butcher, you carrion lord—you murdered my father, my brothers, in the War of Crimson Eclipse!” His voice cracked, fury and grief in equal measure. “And still you dare to touch me.”

I spring up from the table knocking it over and causing other men to turn their heads to watch the scene ,in a split second I pull back my arm clenching my fist, I throw it forward with force that knocked on the man I played with backwards when it connected, the dull thud and gasp of breath confirmed that I winded him. The chattering of the crowd fades away when others leave the place I heard someone joining them to help but someone else stopped him informing that I'm the fifth prince. That conversation in the background took me off guard as many people in the states didn't know I was the fifth prince because I always maintained a low profile to stay out of trouble.

He releases my wrist with a powerful force. “Prince, listen.” He turns around and walks away. I keep calling for his name, for him, but he doesn't even spare me a glance. The BBQ chaos around me slowly cools down to silence, pulling me into a haze of emptiness, and the ripples of laughter and words seem to be withering away. Just like that… The Wolves Academy is over for us. With the new morning, we pack our things, leave the dorm, and go back home. Instead of going back to his pack, Prince is staying in the pack house with Lozark. He vowed never to sit on the throne that belonged to his brother.

He didn't say anything more as he examined the book. I, on the other hand, was fidgeting. I mean, did he take my apology or what? "Um....Ace-" "PRINCE." He corrected me. I rolled my eyes. "PRINCE Ace, what now? Do you accept my apology?" I asked nervously. Ace paused for a second. Looked at me before saying a simple flat, "No."

Still, he kept tormenting him. All of this had just been for his attention, just to be a friend, but the Prince— All the Royals, just had sticks up their ass. They cared for no one unless you were important and because he wasn't, he had been tossed away like he was not a person. So why should he care if they were falling off their high chairs? He was going to watch them fall and break their necks and laugh. At least, that had been the plan. "Skye!"

Beside her, standing like a storm contained in human skin, was the so-called missing prince. You’d expect a man like him to look similar to the Queen or the King. Same silver hair, perhaps. A glimmer of nobility. But no. He looked… wrong. Hair black as ink. Eyes so pale they looked almost silver. And a scar over his left brow that pulsed faintly with purple mana veins. “I thought the Queen had only two children,” I whispered under my breath. Alaric’s jaw clenched. “She does. Or… she did. The youngest prince vanished ten years ago. Rift attack. Everyone assumed he died.”

This time, I would not repeat the same fate. I walked straight to the wheel and tore off the slip marked with my letter–A. The room fell silent in shock. "Is she insane?" "That's one less competitor–our chances just improved!" "But the young master clearly favors someone else. Marrying into that… do you think it'll end well?" The thirty-five other women on the wheel were whispering to each other. The other girls whispered among themselves. I did not care. I calmly tore the slip in my hand to pieces and dropped it into the trash.
