Novel & Cerita Noble House Novel

Mrs Smith's selective lifestyle had given me the imagination of Asher's family living in a modern house. But it really was different from what I had imagined. Staring back at me, was a huge mansion with the exterior decorations of an old English house. The walls were made of terrazzo. Where a gable would have been made, was left empty only with a big wine colored inscription of the name Smith. "How old is this house?" I found myself asking Asher as we approached the entrance of the house. It didn't have a porch like Asher's house did. "Smith has been a noble name existing for almost a century. It's an old house." He answered.

“Not even smoke injuries? How… responsible of fate.” He rose, adjusting his cufflinks with unnerving calm. “That house was the last thing he had from his parents. Do you understand? The man has everything ,money, power, reputation but his heart? His heart still bleeds in that mansion. I wanted him to lose that too.” His second-in-command, a broad-shouldered man named Dominic, stepped forward. “We’re still working on a way to hit him harder, sir. But we’ve also been tracking Ellen’s...”

The opulent memories of my parents' house on Manhattan's Upper East Side shimmer in my mind like gilded threads through time. That part of the city is an embodiment of grandeur and privilege where luxury dances with elegance. It was within the walls of our family's majestic mansion that Charity, our unwavering caretaker, found her place in our lives when I was a tender five-year-old. Her presence became an irreplaceable pillar for us, especially for Rachel, my daughter, who never felt the void of her absent mother.

Daniel didn’t dare move at all. Two full minutes passed before Great-Uncle Harold finally withdrew his gaze. "Have you added anything new to your house recently?" He paused, then continued, "I mean something fairly large. It should be in the northwest corner of the house." I thought carefully, then something came to mind. "Four months ago, one of Danny’s students gave him a sculpture. I think… I think it was placed in the northwest corner." Daniel suddenly slapped his forehead. "Right! Sophie gave it to me. She was there too at the time. Megan and her even pretended not to know each other."

Her grip was a little too powerful for a woman whose delivery date was very near. We entered the most beautiful living room I had ever seen. The stairs were gold plated and my head reeled, the chandeliers hanging directly above my head with various portraits adorning the wall. Very expensive pieces. It was as if I stepped into the Queen's palace, just that he was just a businessman. The house was very quiet, leading to my next question. " Where is Mr. Knight?" I asked as she dragged me up the stairs. Didn't this house have an elevator or something?

She turned back around to face them one last time. “And as for the family name… just leave it exactly like it is,” Nova added, her voice smooth and cold. “My little scandal could never cleanse the thick mud that has been lying heavily on this family for years.” With that final word, Nova turned around and walked away, her heels clicking loudly against the floor, leaving the three of them completely stunned and speechless in the living room. Nova walked out of the massive glass house and made her way through the estate gate. The moment she stepped outside, she saw Zaydeen still standing firmly by the black luxury car. He was staring at the house with deep anticipation and worry in his eyes.

But I nodded anyway. The ride was quiet. My heart thundered too loudly for conversation. I was scared—God, I was terrified—but I needed to get out of my head. I needed to forget the betrayal, the shame, the pity in people’s eyes. His mansion was huge. Immaculate. Cold. Everything in white and grey. I remember thinking he was either a serial killer or a secret CIA agent. Who lives in a house with no color? No sign of a woman’s touch? But he made me hot chocolate. Listened as I rambled, eyes never leaving mine. He didn’t try to fix me. Didn’t pretend to understand. He just listened.

Vincent asked in a restrained yet stern tone. "I helped him buy...a house. I took care of all the procedures." Neil hesitated as he spoke. Mike's face also turned grim. "Where did you buy the house?" Atlas asked. I felt a sense of unease. It seemed like everything revolved around this house. I couldn't understand why Navi knew our family would sell the house. Moreover, he had infiltrated Bibury for a while now. Everything was under his control. However, I still couldn't comprehend the connection between Navi and my dad. What value did that notebook hold?

Maybe not as much as her husband, judging by the way Grant handled him in contrast to how the women were relating. I filed that piece of information into my bank of information that might be useful later. Nova led the way through the warm colored corridors that felt like luxury and home at the same time. She stopped in front of a room and opened it with a key. The door opened to reveal one of the largest and most royal rooms I'd ever seen. It was all purple with royal accents and hints of royalty like crown designs and golden curtains. And oh my god, the bed. The bed was even more beautiful than the one in Ivin's house.

However, no one could be prepared for what they saw next. The trees started to part as if it was drawing them closer. On the horizon, Noah could see the chimneys of a mansion. The Crescent’s royal family’s house, Ophelia’s home. If there has been any fire, the snow covers it all well. They passed through the glamour.
