Kane POV- “Ambush much? Rana, I told you, this my time with Alsie. You need to respect that.” I was in the bathroom inspecting this beautiful mark that had appeared on my neck, chest, back, and over my shoulder. Four wolves, a crescent moon, eye of Horus, the Sphinx, Great Pyramids, and a bat. The moon and the bat had a light blue outline, the Sphinx, and pyramids were outlined in gold. It was magnificent.

The skull represents my status as an Assassin, and the cross is a play on my name. He angled it beneath the light. Along the back, faint marks interrupted the polished surface. Not accidental. Intentional. Tiny. Almost invisible. Edwin accepted the compass carefully. His thumb brushed across the scratches. "They're letters." Mara immediately produced a magnifying lens from her bag. Nobody questioned why she happened to have one.
