The Wrong Bus

The Wrong Bus

In their eyes, everything was my fault from beginning to end, but if I kept arguing, I'd only end up ruining my own future too. Without another word, I turned and headed toward the street to hail a cab. I'd barely taken a step when Lewis cried out behind me, "Finley, don't go! My parents taught me never to owe anyone anything! I have nothing left now. The only thing I can do is give you my old phone!" A loud crash sounded behind me. Lewis had smashed his own phone. ... I turned around. Lewis was crouched on the ground, staring at the shattered screen while crying so hard he looked ready to pass out.

Nothing Has Ever Changed

Nothing Has Ever Changed

It was titled “Severance Agreement” “I, Mateo Castle, voluntarily cut off my ties with my mother.” Right underneath the distorted, illegible handwriting was a fingerprint stamped with still-wet blood. Eden stared at the paper in disbelief for what felt like forever. She felt completely pinpricked and numb; voices were droning around her. She could faintly hear the conversation coming from the room. “Amelie, when are you going to marry Daddy? I want to be your page boy. “My mommy is useless. She can’t even get Daddy to come home. If you were my mommy, Daddy wouldn’t do this. It would be a dream come true if you were my mommy! I dream of you being my mommy all the time.”

The Wrong Diagnosis

The Wrong Diagnosis

During the holiday, my husband and I attended a free health screening organized by our local community clinic. The doctors diagnosed me with late-stage lung cancer. But after a follow-up examination, I learned the truth—the hospital had mixed up the test samples. The one who actually had lung cancer was my husband. We had always had a loving marriage, so I rushed home in tears. On the way back, I had already made up my mind to use every cent of my savings to pay for his treatment. But the moment I reached the door, I heard our son's worried voice from inside. "Dad, it's already late-stage cancer. Treatment is just going to be a money pit." I was about to push the door open and tell them

The Wrong Child

The Wrong Child

"Noah, get out and go inside. I’ll pick you up tonight. Remember, nothing that happens today gets back to your mom." My four-year-old son, Noah, clutching his little backpack, glanced timidly at the dark, dingy entrance. "Dad, I don’t want to go here. It smells bad… and the food isn’t good…" "What’s with all the whining? I’ve spoiled you rotten! Get out, now!" Scott snapped. Noah flinched, his small body trembling, tears pooling in his eyes. In the end, he could only push the door open and walk into that broken-down yard alone.

Oops! I Slept in the Wrong Bed (Completed)

Oops! I Slept in the Wrong Bed (Completed)

A QUOTE FOR MAEVE AND KEIV “Some of the best love stories don't begin with love at first sight. Sometimes, they begin with an unexpected mistake.” And for all of you, my dear readers: “Not every wrong beginning leads to the wrong destination.” If there is one thing I hope you carry with you after finishing Maeve and Keiv’s story, it is this: Don't be afraid of things that don't go according to your plans. Because the thing you thought was a mistake might actually be the very thing that leads you to the most beautiful part of your life.

Nothing is Forbidden, Right?

Nothing is Forbidden, Right?

Not to mention, Isis had and continued to face embarrassment over her first day in this class. Mr. Greyson picked up his explanations on the text they were studying but Isis heard nothing. His voice did nothing to soothe her rising irritating, she tightened her grip on the pencil in the palm of her hand with such force that she felt it crack. There was a resulting sharp, localised ache in the centre of her palm at the site the pencil broke in half.

I just thought this story was wonderful! The interactions, conversations, personalities were just real, sweet, emotional and fun. Just enough tension to spice it up but nothing stupid in behavior or words. Well done! Loved it!
Kara Lynne Anderson
This was excellent. I enjoyed it and was relieved that the author didn't try to add in a plot twist that would have changed the personality the story built for each character. the characters were so relatable and the forbidden aspect made every encounter filled with all the right tension.

The Rules Of Kissing Girls

The Rules Of Kissing Girls

I just needed something. My phone buzzed, I Instantly reflexed: I snatched it up like a raccoon catching a snack. Just some stupid spam alert. A literal ad telling me my “sleeping pattern is terrible.” “and why I should get soft and choose bed to have a nice rest” Thanks, but no thanks. “Wow,” Maya whispered from behind me.“You're down bad.” “Please don’t narrate my desperation,” I muttered. Before she could roast me further, Nia Brooks entered the bookstore with her little minions. The three girls who followed her around like she was Beyoncé reincarnated.

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

Wild Dreams [Story Collection]

“You’re being paranoid. Or maybe you’re just not attracted to me anymore. Which is it?” I opened my mouth, but how could I explain it? The sensation wasn’t fear exactly. It was warmer. Deeper. Like invisible fingers trailing down my spine, teasing the sensitive spot just above my ass. My clit gave a faint, traitorous throb. I pressed my thighs together, mortified. “Stan, please. I’m not crazy. It’s this new book I got today. Something about it—”
