Marc nodded curtly. Charlie moved to a thick heavy wooden door, bars making a window to the darkness beyond, unlocking it, he went through. Quickly, I tugged on the chain until I managed to completely remove the lock. There! I finally did it! So much joy washed over me along with my own relief.
