Vashti's Daughter

Vashti's Daughter

But if it continued, she would think about having a complete physical, but, she thought, as long as she felt fine, why go asking for trouble? Since it was a warm afternoon, Anna decided to relax on the balcony to read the manuscript. Suddenly, a cold breeze passed over her when she placed the three-inch stack of papers onto her table and she put her notebook on top of the stack to prevent any loose pages from blowing away, although considering how the book keep showing up, she was confident that even if the entire manuscript was blown all over Santa Monica, another envelope would have been back on her desk the very next day. Anna made herself comfortable on her lounge chair, with the sun abo

he said. Dante sat across from him. The manuscript was between them on the table — three hundred and forty pages of handwritten then typed then printed pages, the novel that sounded like Dante and wasn't only about Dante, the story Elian had been writing since the boat, the thing that had grown in the house alongside the garden and alongside everything else. "How is it?" Dante asked. "Better than I expected," Elian said. "The middle section needs — but the bones are right." He looked at the pages. "The ending is right."

Veiled Deception

Veiled Deception

“This is not that serious.” It was a manuscript. That’s all. A book. A story. Something written. Something finished. But that wasn’t how it felt. And that was the problem. I walked back to the drawer. Slower this time. More aware. More deliberate. I reached down. Picked up the manuscript. And for a second— just held it. It felt the same. Light. Ordinary. Unassuming. Which made everything worse. Because nothing about it felt ordinary anymore. “If she knows,” I said quietly,

His Curvy Obsession (BWWM)

His Curvy Obsession (BWWM)

I'm not promising that though 😅. AN: I want you guys thoughts on this question, *sigh*. I'm conflicted, very conflicted on how to describe Nathaniel's character because in my book where I've written the manuscript of this book although, it's a very short story with maybe 28 chapters. I described Nathaniel as a dark lover in my written manuscript but with you guys now, I'm having second thoughts of changing him to cheesy, lovesick guy yet possessive though I've already changed him to that.

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

Maisie scrutinized the manuscripts before looking up at Daniel in shock. "This novel is called Dancing Lights!" she exclaimed. "And the novel Delilah is currently serializing is called Whirling Lights! Even the names are so similar... "The outlines and character settings are even more alike!" She flipped through the pages. "There are plot variations, but it's clear that Dancing Lights has a more logical storyline! That makes sense... I always felt something was off when I read Whirling Lights. Now, this mystery is solved!"

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

The Alpha Heiress: Lycan's True Mate

The Alpha Heiress: Lycan's True Mate

The data needs to be accurate, and this manuscript is an original. For over thirty minutes, I keep going through the manuscript's contents and using the knowledge to refine what I have. However, my eyes are burning from staring at the tiny, faded texts. The manuscript is written in an archaic font style that takes twice the normal needed time for deciphering its contents, but I continue pushing through because what I have discovered so far is pure gold. Also, I need to be faster. The library will probably close soon and I— A hand suddenly clamps over my mouth from behind. My body reacts before my brain catches up, my hands dropping the manuscript and I quickly reach for the small knife strap

His Broken Ex Wife

His Broken Ex Wife

Joe For lack of any other good ideas and strangely thrilled about what seemed to be Sarah’s brother’s blessing, Jack had dug out the manuscript Wendy had given him two weeks ago. She had rung his doorbell at 11:30 pm, he had opened just wearing his boxers and a T-shirt, assuming it must be an emergency. Instead it had been Wendy, batting her eyes, looking him up and down in a way that made him feel highly uncomfortable and asking him if he would mind browsing through the book she had written – a modern-day romance. Maybe he could let her know what he thought about the male character. Did his feelings/actions seem realistic? He had refrained from asking her to come inside. He had pretended to

Taming the varsity player

Taming the varsity player

A document containing the raw, emotionally unedited chapters of my secret novel manuscript. Before I could minimize the window, the text filled the massive screen. And right at the top of the page was a deeply descriptive, intense scene I had written late Sunday night—a scene detailing a massive, broad-shared golden-haired boy standing over a girl in a dimly lit bathroom, his touch unbelievably soft as he wiped tears from her face. It was a completely transparent, beautifully written mirror of Mike. Mike’s eyes tracked the text instantly. His entire body went completely rigid in his chair.
