The Phoenix's Second Choice

The Phoenix's Second Choice

But just then, the world tilted. Something was wrong, terribly wrong. The protective barrier around the Phoenix Court, the one my mother had sealed with a fragment of her very soul had shattered. "That's impossible," I whispered. No demon beast, no matter how powerful, should have been able to breach it. Not unless…there was a traitor. Franz and I rushed out. The clan was in chaos. High-level demon beasts had invaded. A fledgling Phoenix, barely ten, was pinned beneath the foot of a boar-beast. She was moments from death.

His Lordship Alexander Kane

His Lordship Alexander Kane

Stepping into the presidential suite on the top floor, Amber gave Alexander a knowing nod before helping the still-petrified Bermita into the en-suite bathroom for a much-needed hot shower to calm her nerves. "Mister Kane, everything's been handled," Aaron reported, standing before the coffee table and bowing slightly to Alexander, who was lounging on the couch. "If my timing's right, Coleman should be dead by now. The Quain family will be stirring. Aaron's eager to be of service to you, Mister Kane, but..." Still, there was a catch. The Phoenix Grand Hotel sat in the North District of Phoenix City, a world away from Twilight Avenue. Phoenix City's unspoken rules were clear: outsiders could

I was hooked in reading this book. But why the sudden ending? It doesn’t make any sense. Still have alot of loose endings what happened to black maple master? The jade pendants? This is pure money making stint.

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Heiress's Return

Rebirth And Revenge: The Betrayed Heiress's Return

They were all boring financial books as well as some management books. Just as I was about to give in, I raised my head and discovered a few novels on the top of the bookshelf, Phoenix’s novel. “Joy of life, Lowering the bid…” All of Phoenix’s novels are here. I blinked my eyes and thought in my mind. ‘Who put this here? He was a reader of Phoenix?’ I reached out to get the book, but I failed. And then I tiptoed and finally managed to reach the book. However, I was unable to take it down and instead put the book away.

it would be more exciting if POV only concerns ML n FL. it's a mess for me when all characters got their own POV. it's kinda mixed up n after a few paragraphs, another POV from other character n it goes on n on.

One good thing about this story is that the FL not only has a doting boyfriend but also a doting mother-in-law. Loved reading this very positive love story of a badass FL. one complaint would be this book needs a lot of corrections. It is a bit messy.

SCORNED EX WIFE : Queen Of Ashes

SCORNED EX WIFE : Queen Of Ashes

Chapter 131 The Kane Industries tower gleamed like a diamond against the night sky, every window ablaze with light. Inside the grand ballroom on the fortieth floor, crystal chandeliers cast golden reflections across the sea of New York's elite who had gathered for the gala celebrating the Phoenix Grid launch. Tomorrow, the city's power system would change forever.

The Midnight Ward

The Midnight Ward

Right before I lost all consciousness, I saw those strange floating words in front of me again. [The side character has died such a tragic death. The villain will surely go crazy.] [My god! How could they do that to my favorite villain pairing? They are so much more believable than the main characters!] When I opened my eyes once more, the pain had completely vanished. I subconsciously looked at the clock on the wall. Midnight. Comments appeared in front of me again. [Don't open the window! There's no cat outside! It's a serial killer!]

Play it Straight

Play it Straight

Jackson always claimed that he and Fiona were identical twins, but I doubt that’s also true. “Thanks for helping me out back there,” he sniffed and looked at me. I have never thought that a guy was adorable before, not even Max who was voted ‘the cutest thing that ever was’ by the whole school and Avalon Heights, but Phoenix sure was adorable. His big blue eyes were bigger than usual, almost doe-like. “If you don’t mind me asking, what’s with the BO? You mentioned earlier that it wasn’t your fault. Is it some kind of medical condition, like halitosis?”

MIDNIGHT: Whispers from the Dark Sea

MIDNIGHT: Whispers from the Dark Sea

He received no wages as it was believed keeping him alive was enough payment for his services. Dante didn't complain even once. He was appreciative of having a roof over his head. Picking a broom, he resumed his duties for the day. He couldn't stop glancing at the wedding venue. A smile crossed his face, watching the maids run around with flowers, the soldiers fixing up the decorations, and others wiping the seats. Xander was getting married! It felt like it was only yesterday he was running around, covered in mud and panicking about losing his sight. Dante smiled fondly. Xander was so little and innocent then. Today, he was getting married to his childhood friend, Kimorra.

"MIDNIGHT'S MARK"

"MIDNIGHT'S MARK"

I shook my head, too confused to speak. “Because the last time a lunar eclipse appeared here, something extraordinary happened. A bond formed between two wolves, marked by the moon herself. We call it "Midnight's Mark". It has not appeared in one hundred and twenty-three years. Most think it’s legend, but I saw it when I was young.” My mouth felt dry. “What kind of bond?” “The truest kind, a mate bond chosen by the Moon Goddess herself, marked on the skin at the eclipse’s peak. Those who bear it are destined for each other, their souls matched perfectly. Such bonds appear only when the pack needs them most.”

THE MAFIA'S PRICE

THE MAFIA'S PRICE

The Phoenix Hotel rose like a sleek silver blade against the Moscow skyline, all glass and polished steel, the kind of place that screamed old money and deliberate neutrality. Our convoy pulled up under the grand awning just as the late afternoon light turned the building into a mirror of gold and shadow. I stepped out of the SUV with Dante’s hand firmly on my lower back, Maxim close behind us, his face etched with lines of exhaustion and barely contained panic. The cold air nipped at my cheeks, carrying the faint scent of exhaust and distant snow.
