Mustering enough strength, she grabbed Latina’s hair and dragged her away from the inferno. “Come on, Latina! When will you wake up brat?” she yelled at her ears. Her wings were completely burnt, causing her to fall. “Snow maiden!”

Agatha stood frozen in horror, realizing the true magnitude of the danger they all faced. She immediately searched for Takumi but found no trace of him, concluding that he must have secured what he desired and fled. Rener, too, was conspicuously absent. Before her stood only Samantha, who appeared entranced as the demon extended its hand toward her. Without a moment's hesitation, Agatha rushed forward, positioning herself as a barrier between Samantha and the demon. With unwavering resolve, she implored the demon to take her instead. The demon, however, revealed that Agatha's heart was too pure; her soul alone would be insufficient. It demanded her entire being as the price.

I rose from my chair and began pacing. “Everything changed after Agatha arrived. Niagra became distant and domineering. He started questioning my decisions, defending outsiders, even said that Mia shouldn't be his daughter. It’s as if he was under a spell.” Callen nodded slowly. “Agatha must have found a witch, someone from the old covens, maybe from the Eastern tribes. There were rumors years ago that she had dealings beyond our borders.”

“Finally. I met you,” Agatha said to Brett, who appeared after ruining her date with Lanceil in the orphanage. “Did you miss me so bad?” Brett asked, laughing. Agatha rolled her eyes. It’s not that she missed him. She was annoyed that Brett didn’t explain anything to her after he suddenly appeared in the orphanage. “We have a lot to talk, Master,” Agatha said. “Save it later. It’s holiday.” “What?” Agatha knows that today is a holiday. But wasn’t Brett interested in hearing reports about her mission?

I’m an orphan and I rarely make friends,” she answered in the most sarcastic way possible.
