I have to read about court proceedings and anything related to lawyers' work. And I couldn’t count how many novels I have read so as to glean some inspiration from them. Such a challenging task but equally exciting. However challenging it was to write a novel, I enjoy it especially with all the good feedback coming from you. “Isn’t that what writers do? Anyways, the prize money is huge. It can get you a nice apartment.” Liar. “You’re lying.” I laugh and he sighs. “At least you can get a nice meal off of it.” He finally says and I laugh. “I’ll try writing something and yes, I do work.” I sassily say and I hear him scoff. “Sure sure.” He ends the call and I board the boss heading to Larry’s house. It’s a two hour journey so I use that moment to think of a short story concept. Okay Mia, don’t overthink it. It’s just a downtown contest.

APRIL Excitement buzzed through me as I looked through my application one last time. Competitions were my favorite part of schooling, it had always been so since I was a toddler and nothing changed up till now. We didn’t have much competitions at Enigma, but the few we had were always bloody, students would go to any length to win and one couldn’t blame them because the school always put up pretty amazing cash prizes to be won. This time around, we were gearing up for the Jaw Wars, an annual oratory competition where the winner went home with a ten thousand dollar cash prize, an all expense paid summer trip, and free tutoring sessions.

I was hoping that at least he would support me in the fight for Elle. I have two fighters in the competition. They are the best and most prepared in the Golden Moon pack. I hope we manage to win the competition and show everyone that we are a real force in the world of werewolves. This competition takes place every four years. Last time we won second place. It wasn't bad at all but this year we were hoping for more. And I want to win everything here. The grand prize is Elle. "Are you listening to me, Brandon?" I hear Michael say.

After all, he was my numero uno fan. “Not really… well, kind of. My manager told me about this competition all over the States when I went to submit my draft to her, it’s about writing an original novel on any genre the writer prefers. Whoever wins—I think there will be one from each genre—will get their book published nationwide and sign a five-year contract with one of the famous publication houses.” I explained. “Ah! That’s great! You decided on what to write yet?” he asked curiously, laying his head on my lap as he did so. “I could give you—”

After few days we got a notice, the notice was that everyone are compulsory to participate in story writing competition. The competition was between whole school except the juniors did not have the competition. The moral was given one day ahead. I went home and thought about the competition. I just thought I will do okay as usual. The next day competition was held.

I was sure it'd be a hit. It’s due in three more days and I had to give it a compelling ending before I submitted it to the publishing company that held the competition. If my manuscript wins… it’ll kickstart my writing career, plus, I can use the prize money to buy the land where our milk tea shop is. I continued my writing when I noticed the rain getting worse as the minutes went by. The raindrops against our metallic roof and the howling wind were music to my ears. Is there bad weather today? I hope not a storm. I heard early this morning; heavy rain is expected tonight. It might be this. Nevertheless, I resumed writing.

The world which was separated and kept each other as a myth and others as the monsters” Finally, the day of the competition has arrived the one which comes once a year from 17 to 20 years old. For the young adult competition to make their debut in the art field, a huge competition which takes place once a year. Along with that

I then resolved to shoot for the sky even when I have no competition to motivate me. "What are you writing?", I asked, trying to feel less awkward. "I'm writing a story on Wattpad, "The Battle of Wits: War Against Bullies". Would you like to read it and tell me what you think?, It isn't much. Just an author note and the prologue, which I'm writing that I want to publish tonight". "The title sounds cool. I would have asked for the synopsis if not that I don't like spoilers or anything that looks like it. I'm on Wattpad, so I'll read it and drop my review for you in your DM"
