Kensavion looked to Tyler. “We’re seriously living in a time where gods, werewolves, dragons, vampires, witches, and phoenixes are playing house and having babies.”
“Don’t forget snacks,” Tyler said, pointing at the bacon pile. “Snacks are essential.”
They all burst into laughter again, the kind of light, free laughter that only came when the danger had passed—for now.
