The air inside the shop was stale and heavy. Joseph walked to the window, cautiously cracking it open. Cool morning air flowed in, carrying faint noises—the shuffling of feet, guttural growls, and the occasional clang of metal.
Peering through the gap, Joseph’s eyes swept over the university campus. Once a bustling hub of laughter, debates, and youthful ambition, it now stood in stark ruin. Abandoned cars were scattered haphazardly across the roads, their doors flung open like their occupants had fled in a hurry. Bags, books, and personal belongings lay strewn about, eerily untouched.
