We looked through many books when suddenly Nina shouted at me. "Scarlett, I found it!" She said and I limped over to her. She was scanning the page quickly and I started reading it with her. The Crossed-Out Half Moon also known as The Ex-Luna. The mark comes when her mate mates with a girl that shares the same DNA as her and when he also marked her. The Ex-Luna will have this sign etched into her left ankle. It will firstly be an L that is crossed out when her mate mates with her sister or any girl that shares the same DNA as her then it will change from an L into a Half Moon after he marks her. It will all be crossed out with a red X.

I could see where a person could be made to lay on it, face down or face up, and their legs would drape over the edge. My eyes widened and I backed away from me, he followed me with confused eyes. "No, no no no no!" I repeated while putting even more space between us. I tripped and scraped up my palms. "No! It's illegal to be with me are you stupid? I'm an Omega!" I stumbled to my feet and spun to run away from him. Tripping again his arm wound around my waist and he yanked me off the floor. I stared up at the sky with watery eyes.

The only clothing on him was the hide of a leopard around his waist, such that a flimsy view of his muscular lap was exposed. The beards on his face were so much that his mouth was almost invisible.

Dangerous. Mark followed my gaze, his brows pulling into a small crease of confusion. “Friend of yours?” I hesitated. My mouth opened, but my tongue caught the truth before it could spill. “Mr. Cross,” I said evenly. “He owns the club I work at. Vortex.” I glanced at Mark and added, a touch too quickly, “He’s...kind of a big deal in the tech world.” Nathan approached with all the calm menace of a panther, his smirk slow and deliberate. “You make me sound so dull, Lana.”

At that moment, all eyes were on her, and the tension in the air thickened. Every eye was glued to the intense drama unfolding between the three of them. Some even wished for a fierce fight between the two female wolves. Between Emily and Connie, the odds seemed uneven in the eyes of their friends from campus. They viewed Alpha Zack as an extraordinary and exceptional figure. It was surprising, then, that Zack would choose Emily, an Omega, over Connie, who was clearly held in high regard by many. Now, Connie felt devalued and humiliated by this situation.

I could feel the solar pull of the baby answering him, like a string tied between us. If I moved, the torches would flicker. If I breathed too deep, he would smell it. Brenda shifted behind me.
