Jack walked up to his desk and immediately turned on his computer. After entering his password and fingerprint, the computer did not start up as usual, but instead went black. He furrowed his brows, feeling a sense of foreboding. Just as he was about to shut down and restart the computer, several animated characters suddenly appeared on the screen. Richard sometimes watched cartoons, and Jack had seen them occasionally when he visited his old home. He recognized the characters as Peppa Pig and her family.

I shrugged and replied: ' OK, creep, cut the chase, why are you so engrossed with being my friend?' Mercedes' POV “Can I see?” I asked Carter who shrieked and hud his paper behind his back. “Carter what's wrong? You've been drawing for hours, can I see?” I asked again but the little boy shook his head. “Why not?” I inquired. “I'm not yet done,” he replied. “Carter never shows me his drawings and he laughs at mine.” Penelope pouted as she rose her paper and showed me her drawing. There were four stickmen, two bigger ones on either side while two smaller ones stood in the middle smiling as they held their hands together.

I saw Carrie look around to see where the other couple was, but they had moved off deeper into the rows, back looking at videos or something. “The best part about art,” Tina confided, “is that you can have fun with what you draw. They pulled the papers to show two figures that look like male caricatures and a female caricature of me with crazy hair fighting someone on the ground. “Let me guess, that is me, your daddy, and uncle Lucas fighting the evil lady.” I gestured at the drawings.

“Oh, I'm ready. Let me just run my briefcase out to the limo real quick.” The four of us walked around the corner and found the arcade game that Carter had been talking about. On the screen were animated elk and deer, running frantically as the red cross hairs panned over them. Right in front there were two plastic rifles. Henry, Nancy and myself approached the machine and waited for Carter to return from his limo. It only took him a minute or so before he was back. “Who goes first?” I asked. “I'm going to leave that to you guys,” Carter said, smiling. “Or we can always flip a coin.”

Doug bent down and retrieved the bag no problem. "Oh no." Jess observed her hand; it felt solid to her. “Ok, so where is she?” Jay looked around the one room cabin worried. “Real funny Jay I'm right here.” Jess laughed. “Can’t you see me? Jay… I’m right here!” She stepped in front of him. Jay walked right through her and out of the cabin. "Jess!" He yelled.

Damn, I guess his mansplaining helped. A row of cheap stuffed animals hangs from a rope against the wall and I scan them all deciding which to take home with me. There's a bright pink panda bear with eyes a little too closely set to one another. A blue teddy bear holds a heart with love stitched across it in a swirly font, in case anyone wants to out themselves in an inner-office relationship I guess. They're kind of pathetic, exactly what you'd expect from a carnival. My eyes fall on a green frog with longer than normal legs and I decide he's my prize since it fits with the game.
