Odds Against Me Novels & Stories

The number of the previous set represented the bet number, and the number of the back set represented the odds. What was funny was that Samuel's bet was still zero, but the odds had reached a terrifying 1,000! That was to say, Samuel already had a tenfold chance of odds! On the other hand, Samuel's opponent, the Extraordinary Power Venerable, only had 1.3 times of odds, but the amount of bet had already reached one thousand and four hundred, with a total of ten million amethysts. From this data, it could be seen that in the eyes of outsiders, this was just a battle without any suspense.

"Let them see it that way. I'm sure Emmett has already drawn the same conclusion. The question is, what will they do when we succeed just once?" Jared, still stressed out, ran a hand through his hair. "Jack, gambling isn't that easy." His doubt was there—but his curiosity was stronger. I leaned forward, resting my elbows on the table. Normally, she doesn’t know how to do these things yet.” Xavier still wasn’t convinced. He started making bets with me every single day. “I bet that woman cuts her finger trying to cook again.”
