“I hate the quiet,” I said. “Right now, with Edward breathing down our necks, Noah writing letters like he’s Shakespeare’s violent cousin, and Bella glowing like a lightbulb... it’s too quiet.”
“Quiet isn’t always peace,” Sienna said.
“No. Sometimes it’s just the moment before everything falls apart.”
She leaned back on her hands, face tilted toward the sky. “I’m tired of waiting for the sky to crack.”
