No one dares move. “Look at her,” a voice purrs from behind them. Clara. The Beta’s daughter. Lucian’s girlfriend. Her smile drips poison as she steps into the circle, a leather whip coiled in her hand. “Did you really think you could have them? That anyone could love an Omega?” My lips part, but no words come. My throat is raw, strangled by grief. “Pathetic,” Clara spits. And then the whip cracks. Agony explodes across my back. My scream shatters in the air.

Beta's dissatisfaction with the Alpha's decision was evident, but the Alpha just smirked and looked me up and down. "You better sharpen your instincts, Algie," he remarked to the Beta, and then turned to the head Zeta. "Bring out three warriors," he ordered, and then looked at me. "Prepare yourself, Sophia." I closed my eyes as he walked away. I sensed Beta's sigh, and when I opened my eyes, I saw him shaking his head as if he pitied me. "If you weren't an omega, I would have believe what he was saying," he murmured and walked away from me.

Archer smiles at the end of his sentence, and with a sudden jump he gets off the table. “why don’t we discuss the arrangement of this, alpha” the council is filled with unpleasant coughs and growls of disapproval. “I’m guessing you were her trainer then?” asks the alpha. “you know she can only participate in the beta part of it, the alpha position is not open to ladies”

Chapter One Faelen’s POV I woke up feeling a knot of anxiety in my stomach. Today was the day, the day I would be sent on my mission by Alpha Zodd. It was a rite of passage for every omega in the Belladonna Pack, and I had waited for this moment for three long years. Since my parents had passed away, both in an accident, Alpha Zodd had taken me in, but only as a ward. My omega status meant I lived apart from the Alpha’s estate where only members of the pack with higher status lived. I was made to live with servants and low ranking wolves.

My mate. “Rowan…” My voice broke, the truth spilling out with my tears. “Why are you doing this to me? You know what we are.” His expression hardened instantly. Fury carved deep lines into his face. He yanked his hand from mine like my touch poisoned him. “You think I’d accept this?” His voice dripped venom, each word a dagger. “A wolf-less omega? The murderer of my parents?” He looked over me, every syllable hammering me down. “Don’t fool yourself, Anya.”

I ask. As we turn to follow a pissed off Alpha Cory, the Beta yells after the Omega, “You better watch yourself girl, they will leave and you will be here alone again,” he threatens. Looking at the Omega I move her behind me and walk back up to the Beta. He takes a step back as I look him in the eyes for a moment, comfortable with the silence. “Are you threatening that young woman Beta? Because that would be indicative of your guilt and would be grounds for punishment within the alliance agreements,” I remind him.

she said, her voice low and deadly, "is what happens when you disobey your Alpha." She threw the beta aside like a rag doll, relishing the way he gasped and sputtered. Turning to the other two, she let Landon's eyes blaze with Alpha power. "From this moment on, any wolf caught abusing an omega will answer directly to me. Spread the word. Now get out of my sight before I decide you need a more... hands-on demonstration." The betas didn't need to be told twice. They fled, half-dragging their wheezing companion.

The first was a female and she barely knew her that much since she's married to her mate. The second oldest was Cyrus, who stays in the alpha's household ever since he got his mate. Yeah, he is soon to be the next beta of their pack though. And the least oldest. Alexander. He has nothing to write home about, that is in Petal's point of view. Just like their father, he bully and picked on her, making everything more difficult for her. He cares less about her existence and make her do his work, watching his friends pick on her and turn her into a laughing stock, forgetting the fact that they are siblings.

“A wolf has never been claimed by an Icelander before, so nobody knows if you are going to survive it. But since you survived the blood bond, I’m sure you’d be fine” I glare at him. “That doesn’t make me feel any better. I need to know now if I can survive it. I’m just an omega and…” “Cut it out Crinka. Alphas and omegas don’t actually matter here. If you’re weak, you’re weak and if you’re string, you’re strong”, Eloive says. “Thanks for not making me feel any better”. “You’re welcome”, he says with a smile, before leaving me alone with Ruarc.
