The other side of the book

Both were really awkward at each other at first but when they found out that both were reading the same book, they eventually got a comfortable to talk at each other. “So, you also read that book-” “Yeah, I got into it after a friend of mine recommended it to me.” “Isn’t it a great book.” “Yeah, I got hooked on it after reading the first chapter.” “bla-bla-bla” Both continued to talked to each other and enjoyed their conversation. “I was feeling an awkward atmosphere growing between our table so I was gonna try to start a conversation but when you brought out your book, I was just surprised to see a person reading it.” The girl said.

The Alpha’s Contract

The Alpha’s Contract

“The guy who wrote this book was a leader in the war. He kept talking about the importance of a blood line. His blood line to be precise.” He closes the very old book and hands it to me ‘The War.’ By Aldous Kitson.

this book is Soo... good. I’m also an author, though I’m just starting out. 🤍 My book is Fourfold Obsession: Chained by Their Desires. If you love intense emotions, complicated relationships, obsession, secrets, and characters who can’t seem to stay away from each other… Give mine a try please.

I understand that this was meant to be a cliffhanger, and that there is a continuation in another book, which is possibly on another app, but it would be really nice to have that plainly explained in an author or editor note at the end so that those of us who are really into the story can finish it!

Bloodline

Bloodline

Onyx growled once and I felt his whole demeanor change. Hati swiped a paw across Onyx’s back and bit down hard on the back of his neck, I could feel the blood running down my own back as Onyx struggled to get free. I closed my eyes and concentrated on Hati’s breathing. ‘Bjóða eigu regin till guth till striith,’ I yelled inside my own head and I felt a surge of power inside myself and then flowing through to Onyx. He turned his neck as Hati’s teeth ripped through the flesh and he clamped his jaws down on Hati’s throat.

The Line She Crossed

The Line She Crossed

“Who told you to be so stupid? I said a few nice words, and you actually believed me. “I was just a petty thug who didn’t know where the next meal was coming from. But thanks to you, I’ve not only got money—I’m now a wealthy son-in-law. “There’s no way I’m letting go.” Harold and Margaret slumped to the ground at Alaric’s admission. Who could have imagined that while scheming against others, they themselves were being schemed against?

Cross the Line, Cross Them Out

Cross the Line, Cross Them Out

... The bookstore manager seized Thomas Morrow's arm, his voice low but firm. "Sir, please keep it down. You're disturbing the other readers." Thomas's eyebrows twisted into knots of rage. He jerked his arm free with a violent shake, growling, "Didn't you hear me? I'm your boss's boyfriend, and you want me to whisper? I can get you fired in a minute!" He smoothed the wrinkles from his silk cuffs, then cast a disdainful glance at my simply short-sleeved shirt. "That kid and his father are clearly contagious. Clear the store and sanitize every surface."

THE LINE BETWEEN US

THE LINE BETWEEN US

By the time Damian showed up, the house was still wrapped in that strange, gentle fullness his mother had left behind. I was standing in the living room with the book still in my hands, thumbs brushing over the smooth cover like it might disappear if I stopped touching it. Greek mythology. The weight of it wasn’t heavy, but it felt significant, like something carefully placed rather than randomly given. I hadn’t even sat down yet. The knock came softly. Not urgent. Not loud.

Cursed Bloodline: Book One, Bloodline Series

“It looked like staring to me, dear.” Elira sighed like a hopeless child as Nireya wasn’t far from the truth. The texts were so unfamiliar to Elira, she barely understood what she’d been reading for the past few minutes. “Where did you get such a book?” Nireya asked, wiping her damp hands on the apron she wore around her neck. “It's a spell book,” Elira said at the same time the grinder came to a stop, her voice raising a bit too high and maidservants nearby shared worried glances. “My Instructor gave it to me.”

Crossed Lines

Crossed Lines

her lacquered nail tapped the screen “seem to lean heavily in CrossTech’s favor. Care to explain, Mr. Cross?” Damon’s mouth quirked at the edge, not quite a smile. “Care to read the next page, Mrs. Duval?” A ripple of quiet tension filled the air. Elara turned the page in her folder. There it was, the redistribution plan that balanced profits exactly. Clarisse’s interruption had been anticipated. Damon had laid the ground before she even arrived. Clarisse’s smile tightened. Ava shifted in her seat. Sienna, though, smirked as if amused by the sparring.

End of the Line

End of the Line

"Annie! Annie Carter! Wake up! You, the boy next to her—give her a nudge." Someone gently nudged my elbow, pulling me out of the endless darkness. The blurry scene in front of me slowly cleared. I turned my head and saw Wade's face, and my heart skipped a beat. "For question sixteen, the answer's C," Wade whispered, covering his mouth. I ignored the answer and just stared straight at Wade, reaching out to touch his face. It was warm.
