Skating on thin hearts

Skating on thin hearts

“Alright, boys, line drills! Move like your life depends on it!” Mark shot Atlan a grin as he skated past. “Hope you can keep up, Philly.” Atlan smirked, settling into position. “Hope you don’t choke, Mark.” Greg, tall and broad-shouldered, let out a laugh. “Easy, kids. We don’t need claws out yet.” The whistle blew. Atlan launched forward, his skates digging in as he tore down the ice. His muscles screamed, but he powered through, pushing harder, faster. Bryan’s sharp eyes never left him, measuring, testing.

Born To Fight

Born To Fight

Wilson quickly tried to release himself from the thin, yet surprisingly thick layer of ice for the second time. The ice was already lowering his body temperature and making him feel numb. He gathered his strength and began cracking the ice slowly but surely. As it turned out, the ice was a lot thicker than it seemed on the surface. Jim, on the other hand remained kneeling and even though he was almost done shaving off the cold snow-reinforced ice from his body, he dared not move. Before him stood the magnificent snow tiger. Behind him were four loud hunters who cared nothing for his life and would not hesitate to shoot him if they as much as thought he was going to jeopardize their mission.

Alpha Fallon And The Broken Bond

Alpha Fallon And The Broken Bond

However, before long, they begin to thin, until we have to separate enough to continue to remain undetected. ‘Up ahead.’ I announce through mindlink with my group. ‘There’s an opening.’ By this point, the earth beneath our paws was covered in ice, and the wind above was picking up. Soon, the snow would fall, and when it got really bad, we'd be left with little to no visibility. Quickening my pace, I move ahead of the group and begin to extend my senses further, searching for a hole in the aura that the Glacies produces. At first, I found myself coming up empty until I reach further into the mountains.

Pregnant for A Stranger

Pregnant for A Stranger

Jaxter, after a moment of hesitation, finally gave a reluctant nod. Hayle proceeded to inspect Ice’s body carefully. Despite the tense atmosphere, she focused on ensuring that there were no signs of the distinctive mark that would identify Ice as a member of the Golden Circle. Hayle, though slightly uncomfortable, noticed the impressive physique of Ice, which only reaffirmed Jacob’s high regard for her. She was meticulous in her examination, hoping to clear the air and relieve the tension.

Protecting the Wolfless Enigma

Protecting the Wolfless Enigma

No longer worried about my safety, I ignored the cracking of ice that I heard under me. Wanting to save my best friend, I wiped away the light layer of snow on the ice. Moving around on the ice, I continued to brush away the dusting of snow. After what felt like an eternity, I screamed when I found her face pressed against the ice, as she was pounding on it with her tiny fists.

So far, this book is off the charts, great grammar, and punctuation with very few mistakes. Great dialog and plot. I am also reading the "Alpha's Moon Princess," which is also great so far. I believe that this author has GREAT potential and will go far!!! ............ great job, Ms. Karson!!

I love this story. I have re-read it many times. Not only is it interesting, but you find out more about each character. There's a bit of a mystery involving one of the main characters she is adopted, and she doesn't know who her true parents are; but most of all, she finds true love.

SCORED HER HEART, NOT THE PUCK.

SCORED HER HEART, NOT THE PUCK.

THANE’S POV: The ice warped beneath me like skating through fog, untethered from my own body. My strides were off. My skates scraped unevenly. The crowd’s roar blurred, distant like it was coming from underwater. I blinked, hard. Nothing changed. My vision pulsed at the edges. The rink stretched ahead like a tunnel, too bright, too long. A wave of heat crawled up the back of my neck, followed by a tight, gnawing pressure in my chest. Like someone pressing a brick against my sternum.

Beneath His Ice

Beneath His Ice

Something that made every primitive survival instinct I had start screaming warnings. The temperature in the room felt like it had physically dropped. I could almost see my breath, though I knew that was impossible. It was like standing too close to a frozen lake, feeling the cold radiating up from depths you couldn't fathom. His stillness was more threatening than any movement could have been. It was the stillness of a predator that had locked onto its target, that was calculating distance and angle and opportunity. The stillness that comes right before violence.

Alpha’s regret : The return of his rejected mate

Alpha’s regret : The return of his rejected mate

THE ICE Stepping out of the plane was like stepping onto another planet. The air was so cold it burned. It was minus forty degrees. At that temperature, exposed skin freezes in minutes. Moisture in your nose turns to ice instantly. We stood on the surface of a massive frozen lake. The plane lay behind us, a broken gray bird in the snow. All around us, mountains rose like white teeth, scraping the sky. "Coordinates?" Damian asked, pulling on his heavy parka. Kai checked a handheld GPS unit. "It's dead. Battery drained." He looked at Leo. "Sorry, kid. You ate the map." "It doesn't matter," I said. I reached into my pocket and pulled out the metal plate—the key from Eleanor’s journal. I held it

The Alpha's Regret: His Secret Hybrid Heir

The Alpha's Regret: His Secret Hybrid Heir

Elena’s fingers were numb from gripping the rag so tightly. She’d been scrubbing the same stubborn spot on the window for ten full minutes, pressing harder with every pass, but the frost refused to give. Regular ice would have softened under the warmth of her breath and the weak morning light seeping through the glass. This wasn’t regular ice. This was Maya’s ice—Silver Wolf ice—thin, glittering, and unnaturally stubborn. It clung to the pane like it had roots buried deep in the glass, a silent, shimmering accusation that something ancient and forbidden had woken up in this tiny room last night.
