Day one was over. And somehow, against all odds, it was perfect.

Behind me, Rome stayed near the entrance, watching quietly. “Do you like this one?” he suddenly asked. I turned slightly. He was pointing toward a specific book resting on one of the nearby shelves. I stepped closer and pulled it out carefully. My eyes widened slightly when I read the title. It was a novel written by Sun the Morning. A love story about the moon and the sun. A quiet memory surfaced inside my mind. I had read this before in my past life. The story had stayed with me for years because of how bittersweet and beautiful it had been.

I didn't answer, busy covering my body with a white blanket. I was silent; my body felt weak instantly. No words came out of my mouth because my tongue felt so numb looking at Adam, who was topless in front of me. I scratched my head, which was not itchy; my hair was getting messy. I felt frustrated and couldn't think clearly about anything. "What the hell is going on? I don't know either."

Tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow is the day where two clans will fight life and death, defending the honor of their group even if it costs them life and blood. And this morning, Angel chose to be a normal human being, at least he wanted to spend time happily with his mother. Because no one knows what will happen tomorrow, whether he will live or die. "Mom, let's go!" Mrs. Matthew frowned. "Mommy is off today." "Therefore, I want to take mommy for a walk today."

No matter how willing they were to feel each other, some invisible manacles were there, holding both of them apart. The sky was dark but still belonged to the morning, as it was an early hour striking 3 am on the time measuring tool. A deafening silence was filling the vacuum of that busy road, carrying no one else than those two bodies, which might be each other’s, but was no more than a stranger to it. No car could be seen passing by, as if the road has blocked itself to give time to these strangers crying their hearts out inside, but have nothing to utter outside, even if it is a sob. [Gianna’s POV] I stare in disbelief at the man in front of me as he stares me down with those intense eyes of his. He’s being serious. He’s being serious and if this kept up and someone caught us then my career would be ruined. “What exactly do you want me to say?” I ask, looking around. “Do you not understand the meaning of a one night stand?” “I do,” he counters. “But usually those I fuck usually have the common decency to wait until I wake up to say lets leave.”

The days were beginning to blur into a new kind of rhythm. By Night , the pattern wasn’t just locked it had become their entire world. Kai arrived at Eclipse early that evening, already buzzing with anticipation. He’d spent the day in his tiny apartment with Lila, who kept shooting him knowing looks every time he checked his phone or touched the fresh bruise on his hip. “You’re glowing like a man getting railed every single night,” she’d teased. Kai had flipped her off, but he couldn’t deny the truth.

[Nowo’s POV] That was the first time I spent almost the whole gloomy day reading only one book. It might not be for me, but the thing is, it captured my attention. What was written inside, as well as the kind of helpful information it provides, makes me want to put my time into it. It's pretty hard to admit, but I find myself really weird these past few days. I've been so busy thinking about everyone’s betrayal towards me, and I knew at that moment that my decision to just end the darkness is at its final level. I know it is kind of unusual for me to confess it, but I don’t feel like ending someone’s life anymore, even if it’s the dark lord.
