"Our underground cells are almost full Lord Tyros."
Instead of killing, we lock up the werewolves who had lost control of themselves. A cure has not yet been discovered for this disease and because of that, the numbers of infected wolves have been rapidly increasing, bringing our race in a brink of extinction. The others fear is the idea what if, the Grand alpha being infected, sooner. No one is capable of containing him in case.
He's a beast among beasts and I'm not strong enough to face this monster, yet.
"When are we able to find the cure? And can we really trust Lupoz?!" Hollered one of the subordinate Alpha. Lupoz is my father’s secretary and he is a vampire. He has turned his back from his race after they executed his family. Now, he serves as an intel providing us information of the scum bloods. The others always insisted to have him observed. My father granted their request, but the Grand Alpha trusted him. Giving a second chance is one of the kindness the Grand Alpha possess.
“Enough of that.” My growl to them.
"Vampires have already killed a lot of half breeds in the cities. They are hunting them like a sport. It is heroic and legal to kill us!" moving away to the issue about Lupoz.
"Lord Tyros, what's your plan?" asked another subordinate alpha. My father’s eyes were closed and was breathing deeply. He remained silent but I know that he's already annoyed. The noise continued which turned into a ruckus, voices being raised in all directions acting more like dogs than wolves. Then suddenly my father slammed his fist on the table. The noise quickly changed into silence, everyone holding their breath.
My father looked at Lupoz signaling him to speak on his behalf.
"All of you may have already heard about the vampire’s achievement of the discovery of their serum. This particular serum gives them the ability to walk during daylight without getting burned. As of now, we are still on the process of making our own antidote, countless trials have been tested but the results were not favorable. This leaves us to turn our fates into the humans to make us the cure."
"They will never serve us! They think we are the enemy. They despise us!" Yelled by an old alpha. Judging by his looks he definitely knows the history of the relationship between us and the humans.
Uncle Rankin began to speak. "We don't have to convince all the humans to take our side, all we need is them..." a picture of five individuals projected on the screen. "These three are vampires but these two in the middle... We believe that they're the couple who helped the vampires discover their serum. We just need to focus on them."
“All of you are not allowed to hurt the humans because of this.” Lupoz continued.
"We need to take action now!" the other alpha looked anxious.
"Lord Tyros, they are killing us right at our own territory! When will we fight back?!" I was surprised on how he's able to talk to my father in this kind of manner.
"I will not wait for them to murder my own family. My pack will attack the vampires tonight during full moon. Your permission is all we need..." I noticed something on his hands, they were twitching with very noticeable veins. It looked exactly like the ones on the documents of the mad werewolves.
"No." answered my father with his firm voice. A flat word of opposition. Reason why…
"You're not fit to lead us!" Claws came out of his hands. My father snarled back.
"The more you let these attacks happen without retaliating the more you show your weakness to them! Do you think the answer to all of these are humans? You are a weak leader Tyros!" he jumped on the table and charged on my father. Uncle Rankin knocked him off sending the mad wolf a few meters away.
The bodyguards held him down to prevent him to cause more trouble.
"Put him away." ordered my father.
"The elders were wrong on choosing a spineless coward to be the Grand Alpha! They chose a wimpy dog which will be the reason of our extinction!" his teeth were shown and was snarling like a mad beast.
(Samantha's POV)
I was looking at the mirror with a smile on my face, i saw my husband's reflection coming at me. His recent success was the reason behind his good mood for these past days and seeing him happy made me happy too. He was able to do what the government has asked him, a serum that will enable the vampires to walk under the sun.
"Too much happiness can be a sign of sadness later on, Albert." I warned him while I attached my earrings.
"I'm just glad that I can now spend more time with my wife." he hugged me from behind, caressing my belly and kissed my neck.
"Don't tease, or we won't be able to make it to the program they've prepared for you."
"Oh. I'm not. You're the only one who thinks of that." he denied, unwrapping his arms off me. I suddenly felt something cold on my neck, it was a necklace. He kissed my cheek as i touched its pendant.
"This will serve as a sign that I'll be giving you more time from now on, Samantha."
"Could you really refuse them?"
"Of course, I've done my part so they won't bother us anymore."
"I'm happy for you Albert." he made me face him and kissed my forehead.
"We can now start to have our own family." He smiled.
Although I'm proud of him, I wasn't completely happy, Albert's success will just make the vampires more powerful and more dominant over the humans. They're just using us to benefit their desires, tss.
The government escorted us on our way to the event for safety. The moon was full giving us a clear path to travel, the night's breeze was gentle, enough to calm my mood. Suddenly, a wolf's howl could be heard from a distance, it sounded sad, giving my heart a bitter feeling. The humans has always viewed them as monsters, i believe they're also creatures just like us, struggling from discrimination and trying to blend in this cruel society.
We were quickly greeted by some people when we arrived the building, they all looked very happy for my husband's success.
"We never doubted you Dr. Albert, we knew you're the one who could make the serum!" announced the department's director. He's one of the people who pushed us to make the serum.
"Thank you for your trust Sir." My husband is naturally respectful to his superiors.
"Are you ready for the presentation?"
"Oh! About that Sir." he looked at me, "Samantha, would you give me a moment, I need to prepare a few things first."
"Sure Albert." he kissed my cheek and walked away with his boss.
"Samantha!" I looked at the person who was calling me. I saw a group of girls and with them was Leneth. She approached me and offered me a drink.
"I don't drink pineapple juice." I was quick to refuse hoping she wouldn't mind.
"Oh sorry. I'll ha—."
"I'm fine Leneth."
"Congratulations on your husband's success, Mrs. Curie." greeted one of her companions. They were all beautifully dressed for the occasion. I'm not used to events like this and socializing with this kind of people isn't my thing. Leneth is the only one i know among them. I don't know how she met these people to begin with.
"Thank you."
"Finally, you two can now have time together. It's been almost two years since you've been married you should have a baby soon." I smiled at Leneth. Why does she had to announce that in front of these people?
"You should bear a lot of babies Mrs. Curie, they will surely have brilliant minds just like you and your husband."
"We're already planning for that." I uttered, feeling uneasy around them.
"That sounds great! I'd love to be a godparent of your future baby." Making the others laugh.
They offered me to have a seat with them. I looked around to find a familiar face, but they were all new to me. Looks like I'll be sitting beside these women and forced to talk to them while I wait for my husband.
"We can give you tips on how to make love with your husband. You look inexperienced darling." Whispered the lady who was wearing a plunging neckline showing her cleavage.
"Alicia, that's a foul. Dr. Albert is a busy man, he probably hasn't used his rod that much either." She teased, I simply nodded, my face turned red and flustered.
"We all know that Dr. Albert is very focused on what he's doing, it's sexy, I'd love to be the one he'd be focusing on." Giggled another girl.
"And loyal too, guys like that are hard to find nowadays. You're very lucky Mrs. Curie."
"It's just fair to give him all the children he desires."
The door suddenly opened; a huge aura filled the room instantly. Vampires. The people got up to their feet, i joined them unconsciously. Their beautiful physical features really can't be denied, they use their good looks to lure their victims. Tss.
"They all look so handsome." muttered one of the girls.

(Samantha's POV)"Who's going to entertain them?" I looked at the waitresses around, hinting Leneth what my answer was. She lightly tapped my shoulder.Vampires were about to walk at our direction..."This is not my husband's night, it's yours. They came here for your husband's success." leneth whisper. I smiled and scowled at the same time in return. But Leneth pushed me which caused to lose my balance. I suddenly felt cold hands holding me to prevent from falling.A pair of vampire's eyes met my gaze. Eyes which they use to play tricks on the minds of their victims. Many humans fantasize about them. (Samantha POV)"I heard you're married just a year ago, and you two have no honeymoon yet. What a shame, you are too beautiful to be left untouched by your husband. It would be my pleasure if I do it for you. You will bear me a child with our blood, consider it my gift for your husband." his words sounded like bees filling my head. I couldn't fully comprehend what he was saying. My body was starting to surrender from the drink. "You hate our kind, let me do something about it. You're about to experience the thrill of your life. I will make you feel something humans are not capable of doing. The kind of pleasure women of your kind desperately seek." His words sent me to the deepest well and completely went unconscious.I tried getting up. Something wrong was happening, something new to me. Whatever it is it's
(Dr. Albert Curie)I temporarily stopped my speech when I saw Aiden, the son of Alucard returning to his seat. He is the only pure-blood vampire left after his father was killed by the Grand Alpha during an encounter. Lead by an alpha, wolf packs are strong, they are very difficult to beat especially when they start working together. I've heard rumors that the Grand alpha has enough strength to rip anyone in half with just a single strike. They can also disguise themselves to get closer to their victims, adding stealth to their approach. Our intel about them is still far from enough. We have very little understanding about their behavior. We know that they are also smart in their own rights.Aiden grinned at me and took a seat that was reserved for him. We u
(EL POV)"Checkmate." he announced, he told me the mistakes I made that resulted to my defeat. "Always have multiple plans reserved. If your first plan didn't go well, you can always have your second or third for backup. Never settle." I nodded and rearranged the set again. I'll be satisfied if I'll be able to win even once against him.I listened to everything he told me and applied it to the game. Execute with precision, anticipate your opponent's attacks, sacrifices are needed, every move count, never settle. That’s how confuse me. But… "Checkmate." I proudly announced."Nicely done. You learn fast.""I have the best mentor." I told him and made h
(EL POV)"Kid, nothing can ever take away the grief of my daughter's death. I feel guilty killing those younglings as I know the feeling of loosing someone. Save yourself and prove to us that we are wrong about your kind.""Wenziel!" shouted his fellow vampire. The spear that was aimed at me pierced another vampire instead."I'm sorry Herzog, but this kid needs to prove something to me. I can't let you prevent that from happening." his comrades started to attack him. The old vampire winked at me and started laughing. "I need to finish killing all of them so that no one would know that I'm a traitor of my own kind."He chose to fight on our side.I noticed th
(Dr. Albert Curie POV)"Are you Dr. Curie? Are you that foolish man?""Yes, I am Dr. Curie but I'm not a foolish man." he grinned at me."You have created a weapon for the vampires?! You humans really are fools!" snarl one of them. "Maybe to your kind I am. But you forced us to help them. Your people have been attacking us without restraints.""Vampires are just using you! Your species serve them blindly. You will soon regret your creation Dr. Curie."One of the guards started shooting, the wolf anticipated the gunman and rushed to his direction. He pinned him down and disarmed him. His fellow wol
(Dr. Albert Curie's POV)They opened the door, werewolves were captured and kept inside cages with huge bars made of silver. The beasts were going wild, they growled and howled in their cages around us."They are restless. They are looking for bloodshed. But Nothing to worry, the cages are completely safe." The alpha said. His adviser, Lupoz, nodded at us."We compiled a document for you to study what caused them to act like this." Lupoz said."You're going to ask us to find a cure for t
(EL’s POV)I was pacing myself back and forth at my study room, my hands inside my pocket. Why is Lupoz going to be my next Mentor?"Don't worry Young Lord, I'm just your temporary tutor." he placed a stack of books on my desk. Uncle Rankin already made me answer all of these. Is this a retake? Tss. He's just wasting my time.I miss Uncle Rankin."Should we dismiss our class early, Lupoz?" while I finished his tasks quicker than he might expected."We need to stick
