Ace smelled like gasoline, leather, ink, and something sweet she couldn’t name… the same scent that clung to him every time he pressed too close during rides, or leaned over her shoulder during shop plans, or whispered something wicked under his breath just to see her blush.
He hooked a finger under her chin and tilted her face up.
“Busy morning, princess?”
“Productive,” she corrected.
“Mm. Productive is good.” His eyes flicked toward the ruins behind her. “Perfect timing then. I have got an idea.”
