His ice-blue eyes scanned the room and stopped when he spotted the man he’d come to see. Matt ‘King’ Kingston was walking over to him and despite Ice’s military background, and his decade as an Enforcer for the Road Devils, and his large frame, he was briefly intimidated by King, just as he always was. It was such a fleeting feeling that it passed within a single heartbeat, but still – Ice never forgot who he was dealing with. Nobody did. “Ice.” King extended his ludicrously-large hand covered in thick silver rings and Ice shook it. “Good to see you.”

And I find myself trapped in a breathtaking, yet perilous, reality. I turn back to my mate. Noah Silverton. The King. If only I had been wise enough to ask him for his full name before. I would've known who he was in an instant. And I would have. . . ran. He will kill me. Mates can not hurt each other but, surely, he will have to kill me. Mate or not, he is what he is. A King. A ruthless one at that. It makes me terrified of the man I am supposed to love and cherish.

"Nika asked clenching her fists, she was very angry that her parents didn't die naturally but were murdered. "No,I couldn't because the person who killed them was more powerful,"the king replied. "Who is that?"she asked. "It's no other person than Regaleon de Leon the alpha king of Northcrest Kingdom"the king said to her and Nika's eyebrows furrowed.

“The Alpha King?” “Yes. You didn’t know?” The chef leaned in conspiratorially. “Big shifts are coming. And with his pharmaceutical alliances, the frontrunner’s practically locked in.” I tilted my head. “And… who is that?” He beamed. “Kingston Ashford.” I choked on my water. The rest of the meal passed in a daze. Riley was obliviously enjoying his meal, but I kept glancing down at the thing encircling my wrist like it had grown teeth.

he whispered back. “Hey stay away from my mate!” Dylan growled. “He’s my brother!” Nico glared at him. “And I am having a discussion about how to rule. Don’t get involved,” Dylan whimpered slightly and sat there with his head down. “Moon goddess, have mercy,” Killian groaned patting his back. Secretly, he peered back at Nicolai. It was just a few hours ago that this man was running away shouting that he was rejecting their alpha king and now... he had become the alpha king.

From the toe of his boots, which I've seen up close and personal, to the top of his head, which I can only half-glimpse by straining my neck, I can tell King is an untamed death machine. His granite, clean shaven jaw takes nothing away from the animal lurking in his sharp, intelligent eyes. Long blondish brown braids tie at the back of his neck and fan out across his bare shoulders. I see nothing squirming around in them, so at least he has one plus.

No matter which world, that is deemed to be a Cardinal truth. His lessons mainly centered around the details of the past kings as well as the diverse important events. "One of the laws of the kingdoms is that all crown princes or crown princesses must wear a name related to a star or a planet. His majesty Jupiter was the first king. After him were Pluto, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and finally his majesty Mars, the eighth king." Sol listened to the information attentively. After all, this information revealed something incredible.

Anna chuckled and shook her head in agreement. The announcer cleared his throat and announced their arrival. " I give you House D'aramitz." Taking a deep breath, Belle and Anna walked through the door and headed to the throne to pay their respects. Jezzebelles breath caught in her throat. The King was not in his usual attire. Which was usually a black laced up cotton shirt. He was still wearing his usual breaches and riding boots but the shirt caught her attention big time. He was donning a beautiful Navy blue shirt that off set his eye's making them look dark and mysterious holding a beautiful blue fire to them. Oh, damn, it's one hell of a body. I heard a loud cough and looked up at the man sitting on the throne looking like a god. "You may rise, my men." What the hell? "Good job, Kay. You are dismissed." Kane and Kay left the room, closed the doors after them and left me alone with the hottest species in the fucking universe.
