The door to the room opens and Lexi takes me in her arms as uncontrolled sobs escape my lips. She guides me through the sea of officers to a private room and helps me sit down. She gets me a glass of water and I drink it with shaky hands. "We got everything on recording Anita," she says in a soothing tone and I nod vigorously. A rumble of thunder makes me jump. Lexi leads me to a different room, the stations shooting range. She grabs a set of headphones as more thunder makes me cling to her waist, shaking with fear. Moments later I feel the headphones placed over my ears and the deafening sound of the storm is muffled.

I watched her sweet ass as she walked towards Carrie. “What is it?” I asked Santos, never taking my eyes off Luna. “We have a problem, Vinny just called me, Joes threatening to pull the shipments if we don’t cancel the contract with Stefan.” I looked from Luna to Santos. “Who the fuck told him about Stefan?” I replied, Anger laced in my tone. “I have no idea but he knows and now he’s going to stop all shipments if we don’t drop Stefan” Santo said as he rubbed his hands through his hair in frustration.

The thud of hundreds of paws. Mud flew. The world narrowed. Luna’s heart slammed into a new rhythm. Battle. “Archers!” Orion barked. “Loose on my mark!” Wolves along the parapets drew. Strung. Aimed. Luna glanced down the line. Some hands shook. Some were rock-steady. She drew a breath so deep it hurt. Then let the storm inside her reach. The sky answered. Clouds darkened. Not the lazy grey of earlier.

Onyx is not here.” I informed him too. “What? He was just right behind us. Where did he go?” He asked me about Onyx’s wheerabout. “If I had known, then I wouldn't be asking you.” I rolled my eyes. “Damn! The storm has started, and it will be dangerous to go outside.” he commented.

The nerves are starting to kick in. I am hit with the scent of lemongrass when I walk into Onyx’s room. There are three tables set up for us to get massages. Two hunky looking masseuse and a woman for Storm, you know she has a mate and all, they are awaiting us with cucumber water. I decided to go with a deep tissue massage, goddess knows I need it.

“Unfortunately, I didn’t know that there were wolf traps in the woods and I wanted to pay attention. Thank you so much for helping me out.” Storm waved her thanks away. This is what she does. Healing. Her mother was among the pack’s healers and she loved it. “My name is Tasha. What are you doing out here in the cold? You don’t look too fine to me” Storm opened her mouth to tell Tasha that she was banished from her land, but that would lead to many more questions and she really didn’t want to answer all those now. “My name is Storm” Tasha smirked and she smiled at the reaction.

Onyx commanded angrily. “Yes, sir!” the subordinate responded and went to make arrangements. “He might be tough, but we’re hundreds of people strong. We can still crush him.” Onyx had a dominating presence. “Yeah!” the members shouted in unison as if they were injected with adrenaline. The Onyx Clan was prepared to beat Kiran to a pulp. Susan was extremely excited when she learned about this. She immediately called Snow to inform her. Snow was showering, so she did not pick up her call.

Nyx was already back in his tactical gear, checking the chamber of a high-powered rifle as he prepared for his shift guarding the fortress perimeter.

Xenia proceeded, then she faced the bars, and with a flash of her eyes, the iron doors blast opened and Onyx didn't waste any time and scampered down the foyer of the pack vaults, passing cell after cell filled with prisoners that unfurled their hands towards her for help, finally, she arrived at her destination and hastily broke into the cell. "Roxanne!" Onyx blat, rushing toward the mindless form of the three girls shackled and back rested against the wall. She hunched and placed her fingers on Roxanne's neck, feeling her throb but the she-wolf stirred awake and eyed aghast at the Omega.

Storm grouses. “Well, I’m the one that got him released early and without probation. You have known him all of a week and I for years. Carley and Amy for even longer. We know who that kid truly is on the inside. If we say he is a good man, then he is. Criminal record or not,” Ryder deadpans with eyes so cold that I’m starting to fear Storm’s safety if he continues attempting to besmirch my Chaos boy. “Yes sir,” Storm says with a gulp knowing he has offended his boss. Ryder hums in reply. His next assignment is going to suck for him.
