I yell. I keep banging at the door but I keep getting greeted with silence. I moved back a bit, and then came back, breaking the door down with a hit of my boot. "Help!" I hear a tiny squeal before I see Storm lying on the bed, her shirt off, and so are her jeans and my eyes turn red. I launch for Cop who's on top of her, swinging a jab on his jaw. "I'd fucking kill you!" I yell at him before turning to Kale. "Get those ropes off of her" I say and he hurries to do so.

When the fire has burnt out, Onyx appearance has changed. He’s wearing a black hooded-singlet, a black trouser with chain hanging from one of the pocket, and a pair of black leather boots with belts strap all over it. His iris shifts from amber to electric blue.

I turned to see that a large, golden orb had begun to ascend from behind the treeline. The moon had begun to rise in its full glory, a perfect yellow disc hanging in the inky black sky. All around us, wolves began to respond to its call. My wolf, who had been waking slowly as the effects of the contraceptive had begun to wear off, suddenly began to stir. “Mate,” Onyx whispered. “Our mate is right here.” Panic gripped me. I tried to shove her down, but it was no use. The contraceptive was wearing off, and without the second dose I’d promised the doctor and Damon I wouldn’t take, Onyx was awakening with a vengeance now that the moon was rising.

Aiden spoke up next, “Because you are a silver wolf bloodline. Your shift will be, um, more intense and we want to be able to intercede if necessary.” Creasing my brow, I lowered my eyes and asked Stormy if what they were implying was true, and she hummed a bit before answering, “I'm not certain.” Glancing at them both, I exhaled sharply and stated, “I will, but I want privacy to undress.” Seeing them both nodding, I relaxed, but Stormy was being antsy, and I assumed it was because she was going to get touched by the coming moonlight. “You want a small drink to calm your nerves?
